#90
What the hell is George waiting for? It's time to let clueless Joe go spend his days napping on his couch instead of the Yankees dug out!
Sharrow
Why fire him now when people are still talking about the yankees? Wait until it dies down and they start actually talking about the teams still in the playoffs instead.

Latinlawyer
Why not fire him? 1) He is not under contract...so he would not be retained...not fired. 2) Cooler heads may prevail and allow to Joe to stay. 3) GS needs to relax and let the younger Steinbrenners make the call... PETROCK
Are you serious????? For any manager to take his team to th playoffs for however many years in a row, 14, 15 whatever is absolutely amazing. Yankee fans are just too dam spoiled. Try being a Cubs fan & live a lifetime without your team winning a world series.

Speaking as a Cubs fan, if we had the best team in baseball for 7 straight years and had absolutely nothing to show for it, I would have wanted the manager fired about three years ago. Sharrow
Not to mention the fact that he was making more than twice what any other manager was making.
JonEJet
He's the manager of the Yankees He deserves every cent he makes, having to endure the NY media, which is a job in and of itself

Have the Cubs ever had 7 straight winning seasons since the 19th century?
