Iceman88
The only way to describe this quote is that Chad is more delusional than ecurb. "I feel really good about the way I'm playing the game of football -- if you extract about five plays out of all four games. Ninety-five percent of the plays, I feel really good about. I feel like I've gotten better as a quarterback, better within the system, really doing some good things to help us get into some good plays and out of some bad plays, seeing things really well. Four or five plays, along with the losing, have overshadowed the good plays." And when he was asked about how Sam Madison said that CP throws a light ball... "He jumped one route (for an interception). Other than that, we pushed the ball down the field. That's what everybody is going to say about me, that I throw a light ball. Whatever that means, I don’t know. I'm not worried about it." He damn well better be worried about his floaters, they're going to kill Cotch and Coles. Barton
At this point he seriously is f'ing pissing me off. He's a clown. All he does is make excuses or spin to the media when he has bad performances. Now he's saying he's throwing with "great velocity" and he's going to "simply his approach". SIMPLIFY HIS APPROACH?? Is that that a joke, how can you simply the simplest offense in the entire f'ing league? All he does is throw 3 yard passes! Can it get any simpler than that you f'ing idiot? Like I said a few days ago: How f'ing dumb does he think we are? He is a POS.
Sperm Edwards
Is he that worried about losing his job that he feels the need to tout his own skill to the press? Once upon a time he used to use "we" a lot more than "I" in his comments. Seems he's fighting a PR battle to justify his presence now. And it comes across as more than merely shallow. It comes across as immature at best; outright stupid at worst. Does he think ANYONE will believe that he's an excellent passer, who's difficult to defend against, simply because he alludes as much with his own mouth? Gainzo
At this point what do you expect him to say? Then why did he make this comment after saying how awesome he felt playing: "If you extract about five plays out of all four games." Would those happen to be the "about five plays" that Chad gave away in back to back loses due to his crap decisions and crap arm?

docdhc
At this point what do you expect him to say? Here is what I expect him to say: "Even though I am a better QB this year because I know the system really well, and 95% of the time I do great things, I still throw like a girl and can't make the 4 or 5 throws that I really need to make when the game is on the line, and that's why we keep losing games we should win. Therefore, as a captain of the team, I will impart all my wisdom to Kellen so that he can lead the team to victory by making the throws that my popgun, linguini arm has no chance of making, and I will cut my salary and sit on the bench and keep the team together as much as I can. In fact, I will go talk to Eric about this right now!" That is what I expect him to say.
gangreenman
I thought Chad was at least smart.... He either made mistakes on a lot more then 5 plays or he threw 100 passes. He cant mess up on 5 and be perfect on the other 95% if he only threw 30 something passes.

I am a huge Chad supporter but after the past two weeks I would really like to see what Clemens has to offer, put Penny on the bench, cut him, trade him, whatever....he's not getting it done and I don't see him getting it done anytime soon; however, I am not going to sit here and call him a POS or wish him any harm. It's not like he raped someone or murdered anybody. He threw a few interceptions that lost us a couple of games. The guy has heart and you can tell that he wants nothing more than to be able to lead this team and win games, unfortunately he just doesn't seem capable. So like I said, bench him, cut him, trade him, whatever....but to say he is a POS or whish him harm is ludicrous and it is of my own opinion that anybody that would wish someone harm for making a couple of honest mistakes should seek medical assistance. Ryno the Jet
The sad truth is changing the QB does not make this team a contender... it needs WAY mroe than that... Really? QB Play has cost the Jets the last two games. Wins against Buffalo and the Gints means the Jets have 3 wins, 2 losses, and still serious contenders for the division or at least playoff contention. I agree the Jets have holes to plug, but top priority is at the QB position. Now, 1 and 4 leaves us, the fans, wondering when we will finally get to see this kid we drafted from the duck pond sink or swim.

I'm pretty sure Rex Grossman, Kyle Orton, and Phillip Rivers have historically great winning percentages. That make them good? Just because the Jets have sucked for 30 years does not mean we should accept mediocrity. Quincy Carter went 2-1. Should have been 3-0. What a shame we let that gem slip away.
