Kidhuman
The majority of the fans and players want Joe back it seems.Give him an incentive contract. 2 million flat pay. Incentives: 1 million for 100 wins 1 million for each playoff round advanced to. 1 million for winning the series. total 7 million dollars for winning the series Same as he got this year for bowing out early again. What do you guys think?

What do you guys think? Can we add 1 million each time he cries talking about how much he loves the guys? He would have earned a cool $2 mill this year alone. Disclaimer: Joe is a stand up guy and I have nothing against him. It's time for him to walk away as a great manager and leave the stress to someone else. nugentfan1
joe torre is doing the best he can to get this team some wins and another world series ring . theres only so much he can do if the players just simply arent performing when they need to. its a good breakdown but if the players arent performing then the blame shouldnt rest solely on joes shoulders. another thing GS has to think about is if he lets joe go he may be letting go of a lot of his yankee stars that become free agents now. rivera has already stated that what happens to joe will impact his decision greatly on whether to come back or not. Do you even watch the games? Torre had a quick hook all year and destroyed the Yankee bullpen. As I said in my previous post, Torre should just walk away. As I said in my previous post, Torre should just walk away. 13 consecutive playoff appearences speaks for itself. I understand we have the largest payroll and a stacked lineup year in and year out but 13 yrs in a row is still very much against the odds. Now that Steinbrenner made the announcement, he has trapped himself into a corner and has to at least do something to Torre's contract if he doesnt actually release him. I have a feeling if Torre does go that he'll take a lot of players like Posada and Mussina with him (possibly matsui as well).

As I said in my previous post, Torre should just walk away. are you kidding me?? the bullpen rests upon guidrys shoulders. joe doesnt have control over how they are going to pitch and some of the guys in there hes forced to play. when joe puts guys into games he doesnt think that they are going to blow up a lead. rivera blew at least 3 saves this season, including a walk off grand slam in oakland and joe was supposed to know that mariano was gonna do that when he brought him into the game?? and joe didnt sign the guys in that bullpen so for the most part he had to make do with what he had. if they let joe torre go next year then you can also kiss rivera and possibly pettitte and posada goodbye. What do you guys think? I think that is the only way the yankees SHOULD take him back. Also, we need Girardi back in the dugout to balance.
