if Coles plays on the cheap that's fine - but anything more and that bum can take a walk - Moss is better as a playmaker but if Coles is cheaper that's worth considering.

Bit

Even if we have to pay the $5 mill, don't you think it's worth it

We get a 27 year old top tier receiver, hopefully entering his prime, for $5 mill

You think we'll be able to get Santana for $5 million?

It's a smart fiscal move, and the players basically wash.

I am with you when saying Santana is the more explosive guy....but to get something for him, unlike Lamont seems like a no-brainer!!

Teams are still meeting with each other and it's up to Coles if he'll give his bonus money back or not for the trade to happen.

the problem is not the signing bonus, the problem is Coles wanting MORE money than what he is already due in his contract. That contract he recieved was substantial and in line with his status as a #1 reciever. How can he expect more money? He agreed to this contract, he agreed to be a redskin for 7 years, now he hates it and he wants more money? F that. Either he leaves and stays at the same contract or he stays with the skins with the same contract. Either way , he should be "stuck" with his contract.
