Thor99
Even if he doesn't make the hall of fame his career avg seasons are hall of fame caliber. Convince me that Giambi will get HOF consideration. So far, all you've done is stated your opinion.

I could care less if he gets consideration or not. I'm just saying what his numbers say. That he's been that caliber of player over his career. Maxman
Even if he doesn't make the hall of fame his career avg seasons are hall of fame caliber. No they aren't. His average season has him hitting .289. He averages 28 home runs a season. That is why I said it could be debated if he was even above average. If you are going to prorate it and say if he was healthy -- then there a lot of guys that would get in before him. Bo Jackson -- total hall of famer. NTM his career 147 OPS+

Thor99
Mo Vaughn for HOF. Mo Vaughn for HOF. Let's start a grassroots election effort. The benchmark for a power hitter is 500 home runs. Giambi won't get it. In fact, with McGwire and Palmiero not getting it, Giambi has no chance.

There are loads of players who deserve to be in who aren't and who are in that shouldn't be. That means nothing to me. He's top 40 in the most important stat category. That means something.
