My son's first rollercoaster experience

Alk

Recommended Posts

So after we had his heart checked out and everything turned out fine we promised him that we would take him to ride some rollercoasters since he is tall enough. We went to Worlds of Fun in KC on saturday night and it couldn't have been a more perfect time. The park didn't open until 6:00 and we were right at the front of the line. We asked him which one he wanted to ride first and of course he picked the biggest one they had.

We get to the gate and there is no line at all so we hopped on. I didn't know how he would react because this is a pretty nasty coaster. We get done and I ask him what he thought. He was kind of quiet for a second then said "Can we go again?" There was no way I could handle going on it back to back without at least a little bit of a break so his grandma got on and went with him the second time.

So then he proceeds to go on every coaster they have except for one that he wasn't tall enough to ride. I was able to go on every coaster and did pretty well except for the last one that kicked my a$$. It's a pretty tame roller coaster except for the fact that the cart you're sitting in spins in circles the whole time you're going around. All in all it was a good time had by all. I think I was asleep before I hit my pillow.

That's awesome Alk! Grandma is quite the sport for getting on that roller coaster! ha ha:cheergal:

She loves rollercoasters. She rode the Patriot twice with my wife while I was taking the boys to get something to eat.
