My best friend owns a Mitsubishi 73 inch DLP that is absoloutely a pleasure to watch TV on. 3 weeks ago, I decided to upgrade my 720 Polaroid LCD, for a Sony Bravia 1080p 46 inch LCD. I must say that I am very pleased. i also switched to Direct Tv, just in time to watch the Jets lose in High Def. The picture is flawless, with no pixel drag. What do you guys have ?

40" Sony Bravia 1080p in the living room looks awesome, and I got a 32" Sony 720p downstairs which also looks awesome. Total price, 2400$, coming with a PS3, MLB 07 The Show, and Casino Royale. :P

Also, joebabyny's probably already won this battle, unfortunately. Google sony qualia 006 I think is the name of it. It looks good at least.

qualia 006, hands down you will NOT find a better picture on ANYTHING. Qualia was a super high end luxury brand only sold at select sony style stores in NYC, LV, and LA, but because of the high demand for this tv after a few months they sold it at a few very high end AV stores. It was hand assembled in japan, and after they were shipped to the US sony techs would open them up and recalibrate them again to ajust for any shifting that may have occured in flight. It is no longer made. IT was the first tv sony made with their sxrd technology, and now sony uses sxrd to make tv's that are maybe 75% as good but at maybe 25% or less the cost of the 006. There are more expensive tvs out there for sure, but those are plasmas, and you are paying for something super thin and able to hang on a wall, this is a 70 inch rptv, and while you can not hang this whale on a wall, there is nothing that compares in PQ.

I must look into that.

if you run into denzel washington you can ask to check his out, i know he was the first from the nyc sony store to take delivery, lol. I have heard offers of people willing to pay 5-6,000 for a used one that is 2-3 years old since they are no longer made.

Did you pay 6k like my moronic friend did for a 32 inch .....:gfight:

No when I bought mine (42") Best Buy was selling them for like $5,300 or so. But I bought it online. Shopped longer than I did for my house. Did more research than I did for the hospitals my kids were born in. As a result I paid MUCH less money for it. Well worth it.

People say it to me all the time with the prices going down. I don't regret it for a second.
