The New York Jets have signed punter Jeremy Kapinos to the practice squad. The announcement was made by Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Kapinos (6'1", 235) originally signed with the Jets as a rookie free agent July 2 before being waived Aug. 2. Kapinos punted at Penn State for four seasons, averaging 41.8 yards per punt with a career long of 78 yards.

The Springfield, Va., native, was a finalist for the 2006 Ray Guy Award, presented to the nation

Punter Kapinos signed to practice squad

The Jets made one minor roster move today, signing rookie P Jeremy Kapinos to the practice squad. Ring a bell? Kapinos, formerly of Penn State, was an extra leg on the training camp roster.

Does this mean Ben Graham is in trouble? Even though Graham

Just for kicks?

Jets punter Ben Graham was one of the hardest workers in the last game, booting eight punts for an unproductive offense against the Cowboys. Yesterday, the Jets announced that they signed punter Jeremy Kapinos to the practice squad. The move could be a way of alleviating some of Graham's duties during the week to preserve his leg as his third NFL season plods along. But Graham, 34, has been inconsistent this season despite some fairly good statistics (six of his 48 punts have been downed inside the 10 and only four have been for touchbacks, including one that was muffed at the 1 on Thursday). In practices, he's been known to shank some kicks into the parking lot or the nearby bushes. Kapinos was in Jets training camp for about a week this summer, and the Jets may be looking at him to push Graham for the job either now or in 2008.

so who do you think takes more reps this week graham or kapinos

So now we know what happened to you to make you how you are. You got nailed in the head by one of Graham's crazy Australian punts. The brain damage is becoming clearer now ;)
