Great stat ?!

How many MLB pitchers have had a Labrum tear in the last 5 years? So maybe Biddle was the only one...so it would 100% ??...

Is this tear really that common ?....

IMO stats like that don't mean sh*t !

Penny boy will be FINE.

Um, Pedro Martinez has a partially torn labrum and his fastball only became very hittable.

Just remember that overt the past 5 years, Rocky Biddle is the only MLB pitcher to ever come back to pitch in the majors from a Labrum tear.

Who are the guys who failed to comeback because of a labrum repair? Short list.

Dwight Gooden had a labrum tear and they fixed it in the late 80's. He pitched ten more years. They are better at this stuff now than they were then.

You are also talking about a totally different level of shoulder stress and torque. Throwing a baseball 90-plus is a different deal.

Pennington needs to make a few throws and show that he can take a hit. He does that and it's game on.

Chad played a good amount of the season with this injury as well as the playoffs. If he says that his arm feels better than it ever has, who are we to say any different? Personally, I think he will be back to his 2002 healthy, productive self. Now, if we can just build a small bubble around him...

Unfortunately getting him healthy and keeping him that way are two different things.
