Is this "lets see how close we can get to political without getting the thread locked" month and nobody told me about it?

On that topic,,

I heard that most of nations ills are due to the influence and bribery that the Garage Door Salesman Lobbyists are peddling on our politicians

You are one intense individual JetMoses. 8::

It was never my intent to start trouble on that other thread. I was simply looking to engage in an apolitical discussion on global warming trends, and expressed my opinion on the matter, and for that I was villified, attacked, called stupid etc.

Global warming has been taking place for 8,000 years. Without it, the planet would still be a block of ice. Prior to the modern era when civilizations first started in Sumeria, Indus valley, Egypt et al, Earth was engulfed in ice for 1 million years. When we put that time and compare with the relatively short period of time the planet has been warming, and then compare it even further to our Industrial age of 150 yrs, and then to somehow draw conclusions based on such a limited source of data that man is causing global warming, to me is ridiculous. First of all, global warming is not linear- it does not move in one direction indefinitely. It fluctuates. Think of it as a stock- in the short term there are fluctuations, but in the long run there is a definite direction- up or down- that it moves.

You certainly wouldn't want to buy or sell a stock based on short term behavior, but Al Gore and the IPCC at the United Nations wants to mandate devestating economic policies on short term fluctuations in climate changes (the last 150 years). I think they are gravely mistaken.

Does that make sense?

Where do you stand on central heating?

I am against centralized government and their nefarious central heating.

Or relative humidity?

Im for it, but I'm impartial to patchy fog.

Averages friends, averages.

Michigan had more snow this year than last. But it always melted in 24hrs. Last year my backyard ice rink (which relies on long-term cold) was usable for all of Feb and 2 weeks in March.

This year, with constant grooming in case of a cold snap, was usable for 2 days.

In the next 10 years we will see for the first time in recorded history, the complete melting of the North Polar ice caps. probably just cyclical though. Yeah, that's the ticket.

More stupid right-wing preaching by Jetmoses.

The Central Planners didn't starve enough people to death during the 20th Century in China and Russia; Thanks to Al Gore and his moonbat followers, mass starvation is making a comeback!

Good job, Socialist *ssholes!

Now the Starving Are Really in Trouble

As if the world's starving weren't in enough trouble as a result of unscrupulous politicians forcing us to put food in our gas tanks in the name of the global warming farce, now the U.N.'s clueless Ban Ki-Moonbat has promised to help them:

The U.N. chief warned Sunday that the world must urgently increase food production to ease skyrocketing prices and pledged to set up a task force on a crisis threatening to destabilize developing nations.

The cost of food has increased by around 40 percent since mid-2007 worldwide, and the strain has caused riots and protests in countries such as Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Haiti and Egypt.

Ki-Moonbat listed a number of reasons for the food shortage, apparently without mentioning the most obvious and easiest to fix: the biofuel boondoggle. His "task force" can be relied on to accomplish nothing more than extracting Western tax money to throw at wasteful palliative measures. On the bright side, it can't turn out any worse than the Iraq Oil for Food mess.

Absurdly, the U.N. pretends the world can cut poverty and CO2 emissions at the same time. But as global warming moonbattery rises, suppressing economic activity, so does human misery.
