I've been in business for myself for 23 years come next July...8 of those years have been on the Internet. I learned early on in my first year never to accept credit card payments from several countries. They are notorious for credit card theft. A few of the countries to stay away from are Nigeria, Indonesia, Pakistan, etc. Below is an Internet order I received earlier in the day...notice it is from Indonesia. Right away I reported it to Master Card since that was the issuing agency and sure enough it is stolen...the card belongs to someone in the states.

Again, I'm just giving a heads up to any new people in business that have decided to accept credit cards over the Internet...beware, there are crooks a plenty out there.

the messed up thing is, when you called your processor, had that card not yet been reported stolen you probably would have gotten an approval, then some time later when it was found out that the charge was fraudulent you would have been on the hook for the charge, even though you called it in and got an approval. It sucks but it is the cost of doing business i guess. We just flat out refuse orders now from any of the countries with bad reps for fraud.

No Joe. I didn't call it in to get approval. I reported it being stolen. I knew the card was fraudulent being that it was a purchase out of Indonesia...I accept no CC's from several countries automatically.
