Most Surprising Jet in 2005?

I'm gonna have to say a tie between Adrian Jones and Wayne Chrebet. I think Jones, who is bulking up considerably and has received praise from coaches thus far, is going to be another NYJ Offensive line success story.

As for Wayne, I think he's gonna be seeing a lot more balls with Heimerdinger as the OC. Wayne feels young and fresh, and if the Jets start throwing the ball effectively this year (big If I suppose) Wayne could be in for a 50-60 catch, 5 TD year.

Who do you guys see as potentially the most surprising JEts this year?

25/230/2. Extended stay on the injured list. Chris Baker is your TE, bucko. Jesus Christ smiled down on Bradway on Draft Day making Justin Miller drop like that.

I told you before...only top shelf nuggets my friend.

Step up nancy boy.

 I never bet cash because that's how I ended up a cross-gender prostiute in the first place. And I never bet the Pee Wee avatar because it gets the fine chicks. Other than that, what do you want to bet, Sally?

The grooming at tackle of Jones really has to succeed for us to be successful this year.

With Dinger's rep at utilizing all options I can see Blaylock and Jolley surprising with their production this year

PennyBoy and the word "zip" should never be used in the same sentence.

actually Rich Gannon had the same surgery on his throwing arm in 1993 and he had his best years AFTER the work was done.

I think that Chad's a good surprise candidate - also I hope that Ben Graham becomes a surprise - it sounds corny but having a really good punter can be a great weapon in winning the field position battle.

Good call Bitonti, the field position battle is something we've been getting slaughtered on the last few years.

And lightning usually doesn't strike in the same

place twice.

it's not as flukey as you might think... by the time the players reach a point where rotator cuff surgery is required, they have been playing with various ailments for years.

While the doctor is in there he fixes other problems (Andrews did this for Chad's labrum among other things).

Also when the player rehabs the repaired joint, that is a period of time where the player starts with a clean slate and spends alot of effort strengthening the joint - the end result is a shoulder that is stronger than before.

What? No Nugent?

The best kicker to come out of college in decades will prove it and it won't be a surprise because many know he is the best kicking prosect in a LONG time.

The next Adam Vinatieri but with a stronger leg, mark my word.

And you base this wild optomistic opinion on what?

The guy has yet to make one kick in the NFL.

BTW, Nate Kaeding and Nugent had almost identical stats in their college career. They also received almost identical scouting reports.

How did Kaeding do under pressure for the Chargers last year?

Thought so.

But Tx, Nugent played for Ohio State! Ohio State, I tell you! NO ONE can kick there!

Nate Keading isn't even in the same league as Mike Nugent. Nugent as a stronger leg, more accuracy, played in much bigger games then Keading ever did at freakin' Iowa, and Nugent played in worse weather, with a lot more wind.

Thought so, prick.
