Red Sox fans are so goddamn lucky to have this guy calling games on NESN. He breaks down every pitch, hit, play and what you should look for what you should have looked for and why each play was done the way it was. I'm not sure what other teams have for colour commentary but the RemDawg is utter class. You learn so much more about the game from hearing how he breaks down plays.

I just have to give him props.

Nope.

You yanks have Michael Kay who is bad enough to make you barf. We have a legit ballplayer you simply knows the game and shares his knowledge whenever he can. He is awesome. He'll explain plays and also has a great sense of humour. I know you truly appreciate the game EB, and so I recommend this book:

Michael Kay really is a dooshey, but I love listening to him call a game on radio because you'd sware that every fly ball past the infield will be a home run "And the balls hit DEEP to center........"

Remy did a Fox broadcast this weekend. Informative, funny, and listenable.

He's currently cracking himself about leaving a bottle of gin on the back seat of a rental car.

8)

Remy is simply a joy to enjoy every Sox game on tv. If only Fox would hire him in October and kick McCarver out the f-ing booth.

SJ is right about RemDawg, he does an excellent job of breaking down the game, succinctly analyzing the opposing pitcher, keeping us informed of pitching selection as well as the proper pitching, hitting, and fielding techniques...all in a constant flow of the game itself.

Hey and Don Orsillo do a good job of sprucing up the most tedious of games as well.

The RemDawg is truly a class act...tho he does pimp his glorified hot dog stand outside Fenway about every nanosecond as well as his GAWDY Remdawg merchandise.

That would suit me just fine. Can we kick Buck out of that booth, too?

If only. It just astounds me that Fox would'nt hire McCarver instead of so many quality, informed, intelligent, proven colour guys like Remy.

In a heartbeat. MCCarver sucks. Buck inherits his job and acts like he should be worshipped. If you really want to get ill, sometime in the near future Buck will broadcast a Super Bowl for Fox.

I've never heard Remy but I definitely agree on Kay. When he was with Sterling in the radio they were pretty good. But now Kay sucks. I like Singleton, Murcer, and Kaat but Kay is just annoying.

Remy is fantastic, and I would be clamoring for more Kaat if I was a Yankee fan.

Waldman on the other hand, makes Kay sound silky smoothe. Thank god they got rid of Steiner, he is now making peoples ears bleed in LA.

Agreed. He's the best in that booth, by far. Murcer's good, too. Singleton gives good info, but his voice lulls me to sleep.

Michael Kay is awful. David Justice is worse. Paul O'Neill has potential, but needs work.

I just love it when Paulei is in the booth. Murcer is OK, Singleton is decent. I like Jim Kaat the most though. He talks clearly and gets his point across and he really knows his stuff. Kay, I dont know how he ever got a job calling baseball games.
