faba
Free Agent Signings of 2005 By John Olah NFL teams are getting better at picking out free agents that are a good fit for their systems, and you don
TaborJet
Anthony Becht and Doung Brien...good riddance!
jetswin
Interesting how Brien is considered a lousy FA signing, and Nugent is considered by some a reach in the draft. For the Jets, it can't be both, there were no other options. I think they made the right choice.
TomShane
Plaxico Burress will be VERY good for Eli Manning in NY. A huge WR who can catch the imperfectly thrown ball in invaluable. Look at what he did for Roethlisberger in Pitt last season. I still can't believe we didn't go after Pat Williams. That is just mind-boggling. Now the NT position for us is clearly up in the air while Williams signed for pennies with Minny.

TomShane
The Jets as usual had no Plan B. Fergie or Bust. Strange. McGill, Pouha and Legree. No Joe Greene in that group.
faba
It seems that a lot of media types is giving Jason Ferguson a lot more credit than myself and most of the Jet fans that I know believe he deserves.

Kentucky Jet
McGill just might be better then the rest of the new JETS we got for the position. I saw the guy play in NFLE and he was awesome even with double and triple teams. Tremendous strength and very quick in a limited area. Very impressive big man. PAT WILLIAMS would have been nice though if he didn't ruin our cap! Why not develop our own monster DT and forget about oyher teams players. Bugg
Somebody fill me in-when did Jason Fergsuon have these big games that Peter King and this guy hint at? He was a nice complimentary guy with Robertson next to him and solid linebackers behind him. But for the most part, he was never anything better and when Slo Mo and Dinosaur Jones was behind and Robertson was just learning, he was nothing special. Command double teams? Robertson did(and will!); Ferguson didn't(and won't). Parcells really must've sold this signing like soap to get all these raves. I don't know that Pouha/Legree/McGill/what ever combo will be great, but with Robertson coming into his own the dropoff won't hardly be noticed.
