Cowboys | Team considering trade with Miami

Tue, 26 Feb 2008 12:46:46 -0800

Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the Dallas Cowboys are considering trading an undisclosed draft pick and RB Marion Barber III for the Miami Dolphins' No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.

Obviously it's would be McFadden.

A Dude like DMC running a 4.3 forty with Pokes OL, he is a homerun hittah

i have been predicting this to happen for quite a while.

Don't worry afo. If DMC tears up the league we'll still have Jets fans on this board saying he sucks and TJ is better. We don't need to risk getting great talent ever, because we can always just pretend what we have is the best while avoiding actual talent because they might cost too much on the salary cap.

why are ppl so high on mcfadden.. he hasent proved anything and marion barber proved that he is a top back already..Mcfadden in college didnt prove he was good all he did was run from quarterback position and if cowboys do this the are the stupidest team.. give mcfadden alot of money for nothing.

Even so Marion Barber is the third best back in the NFL IMO, I think he's going to absolutely explode next season.

Well if he stays on the Cowboys, he'd be getting more carries probably so he should have good yardage totals and a pretty good TD total. If he goes to the Fins I don't think his numbers will really improve much, or they might get worse.

aren't you the lady that thought reggie bush was going to be the next Gale Sayers?

This would be horrible.. we lose out on mcfadden and we can watch him run allover the nfc.. for years and years to come and finally get put in the ring of honor and we stil in third place saying .."well were getting better: :we just need to keep addressing the o-line"

if McFadden is within a half a yard of the top rusher for next year, i'll put the pats logo in my sig and avatar from then until the day max stomps wanting my love juice and bans me.

if dallas wants to make dmc the highest paid rb in the league they can be my guest.

the only reason to make this trade is if miami sells dallas on the fact they are taking dmc #1 overall. knowing parcells i would call bull**** on that one. if dallas wants him they can trade with someone else - there is no way bp takes a rb #1 overall.

if dmc can fall to 6 i would trade for both dallas 1st rd'ers in heartbeat. the jets could get cromartie AND mendenhal/stewart or a top flight RT. that would be one hell of a rd for the jets.

How true. No way Parcells picks DMC #1. Miami has a ton of other, more pressing needs at the moment. I would think Dallas has GOT to know this and if they're so bent on grabbing DMC they can trade with one of the other teams towards the top of the 1st round. Like us maybe. ;)

I like him, but remember: he ran out of gas against the giants in Quarter Three. He is one of these guys who runs too hard for his body. Hard to fault his attitude, but he just doesn't have the physicality to last 30 carries.

He got a llot of yardage running from the QB slot. Reminds me of an option tailback. He runs too straight up and fumbles like crazy. I do not see any moves in his repertoire. His speed is ridiculous, but this is the NFL>
