Why not go after Randy Moss?

a.) It severely weakens the Patriots.

b.) WR is a position of need and the best WR in the universe is a free agent.

c.) The Jets have the cap room to do it. They are, what, $20 million under the cap right now, with Robertson, Ellis, Coles, and Pennington still on the book. Estimates are that it will take $10 million a year to be an offer the Patriots can't match. The Jets can do that.

If they shore up the offensive line (as it looks like they will) and continue making improvements on the defensive side through the draft, with Randy Moss, this team is a Super Bowl contender.

that would be 1/2 of our 20 million dollar cap room ,then add the 8 million per year we will pay Faneca that leaves us will 2 million left in cap room and that i`m sure is going to Jenkins

We should at least make an offer to drive the price up. I don't care if we don't get him, it would still be nice to have him out of the division.

If Chad was smart ,he`d take a 1.5 million dollar cut to put towards signing Moss & PUT BONUS` up to 4 million in total yards compleations & TD`s & moss would probably help him reach all of them...

More money will come off once we dump Coles, DRob, Pennington, Barrett, etc.

And they don't have to structure the contracts where Faneca and Moss get $8-$10 million every single season. Contracts can be backloaded, and they usually are when it comes to the amount of money we are talking about here.
