Jets|Team re-signs Pouha

the guy played solid late last season...adds a little depth. A good guy to have around if he's there for depth.

Yes he did.

I'm a bit surprised about this move, but think it is smart in case Pouha in a steady rotation turns into a very productive player, and he might.

Coleman-Jenkins-Pouha-Ellis (OLBer)----THat will be very stout against the run.

coleman-jenkins-Shaun Ellis/Dre Moore/Sedrick Ellis --- would be very strong against the pass.

We need to draft Defense at six, get a defense in place and hope to god that Kellen pans out with minimal recievers.

I think they will have another WR before it's all over.

Just wondering, why did you leave Gholson off your wish list? I think if the Jets can get a real pass rushing OLB this Dis good to go,

The problem is we gave up a 3 & 5 for Jenkins. If we can recoup that with a DRob trade then we need to draft a WR late. There's depth at receiver this year, isn't there?

i was only speaking of the front three...in another post i had mentioned wanting gholston, i just don't think he'll be available. I hope Bowens gets a fair shake this year, he could be a great asset to us as pass rushing goes.

I am totally a defensive guy, but i'd like to see us take Gholston (if possible) then dre moore with the second pick. We'll see though, a lot depends on what we do with the rest of FA's.

i guess i'm a guy that believes WR is not that hard to be average at. Cotch is a bit above average, and i have faith in Wallace Wright and Chasi Stuckey. I have no reason to have faith, but i still have faith.

As WR goes, i'd just allow it to pass.

No offense, but how can you have faith in Wright or Stuckey? They have never done anything. The Jets lost a load of close games last year because the offense failed to perform. We scored no points. The best defense in the world will average 17 points against with today's rules protecting receivers and QBs. You need a good D that can make stops at key points in the game but teams all score points nowadays. We might just have averaged 17 on offense. We cannot win without an upgrade. We need a serious WR. Not necessarily a superstar, someone taller and stronger with some speed.. I can live with Jones anoather year if the line improves, but our receivers right now are less than mediocre.

We have a big presence in Baker near the goal line, i'd like to see that utilized more, along with Cotch. Both have strong hands and play very physical. Most will say the same as you about Stuckey and Wright not have proved anything, but what i saw of wright were nice catches getting forward for yards, and not dropping simple passes.

Stuckey, although a late round and an injury prone guy, is a good deep threat. I have a theory on a lot of guys deemed as injury prone is that they come from their high schools where they are the focal points, go right to college and are immediatly the focal point, then they get to the pros. At no point did Stuckey get a break to re-coop his body.

You can try and tell me that he is only playing a fall sport, but when that sport gets over in January, and then he is in for lifting and running for the year following. By Stuckey getting a full year off (which i don't really think he was hurt, he was just IRed for the year off), he will be able to come back and be a good contributor.

JMO.
