Alk
I've had alot of pets and probably can't remember half of them. Some of the more memorable ones. Past: Duke - A brittany that my dad brought home for me. He was with us for as long as I can remember. I was a year removed from high school and I remember my dad walking through the house carrying him. I asked what he was doing. He just said "it's time for Duke to go." I was a complete wreck for the rest of the day. Buffy - A miniature poodle. We got her on Christmas one year. We woke up to find a big toy box. We heard a scratching noise in it and we opened it to find her inside. Mr. B - One day my dad walked in the door from work with his shirt in his hand. He opened it up and there was a little baby rabbit in it. He had been running the trencher and apparently hit a rabbit's nest or burrow whatever you call it. He killed the mom and other babies. We raised Mr. B until he was old enough to take care of himself and turned him lose out at my grandmas. Chester - That was the first pet I remember. That cat was my mom's favorite. She came down with leukemia and they had to put her down. I remember years later finding a letter from the vet to my mom that brought me to tears. Junior - The first pet that I remember our parents letting us name. The funny thing was she was a female. She was a total bitch from day one. Hated any other cat that came in the house and hated us except for when it was feeding time. Nuffin - We let our sister who was about 3 at the time name her. We asked her what the cat's name should be and she said "nuffin" (nothing) and it stuck. One day my mom was walking down the stairs and Nuffin darted in front of her and got stepped on. It pretty much destroyed her leg and the vet put a rod in it. So after that we called her peg leg because she couldn't bend that leg. McGyver - Another cat. Probably my favorite. Just a huge grey furry whiney a$$ cat. Nermal - The craziest cat you would ever meet. We swore up and down that she was half bobcat. She was half the size of a normal cat but just plain nasty. The only person in the house that she liked was my sister. Recent: Rock - My first attempt at owning a pet on my own. My friend had a cat that had kittens and she just vanished. He brought me this little tiny guy that looked like he was the runt of the litter. I got up 5-6 times during the night just to feed him. After a couple days I noticed that he was starting to feel really cold so I decided it was time to take him to the vet. They had him for a day before they lost him. They basically said that the milk I was giving him just didn't have the nutrients that he needed. I felt like a complete failure. Chyna - My next attempt at owning a cat. She was much older when we got her. We kept her in the house for awhile then decided to let her hang out outside. One day she just vanished. She was gone for about 3 days then showed back up. We decided it was time to get her fixed. We took her in and $150 later she was back home. After she healed up we turned her loose outside again and never saw her again. One day I was driving down the street and on the other side of town I swear I saw her. I stopped the truck and called her name. She just kind of looked at me and walked off. Pierre - Another miniature poodle. My wife inherited him when one of her good friends unexpectadly passed away. That dog hated all men. At the time I really wanted a dog and it pissed me off that this dog hated me so much. We butted heads until the day we had to put him to sleep. Remy - Currently the only animal in the house (not including fish or hermit crabs) He's a 8 year old male boxer. He's going to be the last pet we own but I couldn't have asked for a better dog. He drives us crazy at times but one thing has always been consistent. He is excellent with the kids. The climb on him and pull his ears but he loves every minute of it. SpacemanSpiff_NF
Had a wild cat name Chaos......dissapeared after one of his sex romps...one of our neighbors saw him 2 miles from our house one time. Rascal - Cool dog, past away.... Maverick - Most amazing pet I've ever met/had.....He's 5 years old but still looks like a puppy. I got him when he was 4 months from the pound. He loves everyone/thing. Happiest dog ever. EVERYONE, and I mean everyone that has met him, has wanted to keep him. Got his name becasue the first three weeks we had to leave him in the kitchen because he wasn't potty trained...whenever we left him he thought he was at the pound so he started to whine....we tried leaving the tv on, music on, even movies on....nothing worked. but then three roommates left Top Gun on 3 different occasions, and there wasn't a peep from Maverick.....and so thats where he got his name.....and now I can call him my wingman. Coolest dog ever.....I'll bet if any of you meet him in person you'll agree 100%......

I love German Shepards. That's my first choice if ever I got a dog. Second would be Yellow Lab. My aunt had GS most of her life, 6 in total actually. She adopted them from the Seeing Eye in Morristown, NJ. They were either older dogs no longer in service, or she took the younger dogs that were too rambunctious to be used with the blind. My grandmother had a black miniature poodle named Pepi. I thought this dog was a super dog... it was around for 30 years, little did I know when one passed away she got another and named it Pepi! They didn't want to tell us kids, so we were fooled 3 times over. haha Anyway... I'd love a GS! I grew up around them at my aunts house, they are beautiful. Mavrik
So I got my childhood dog when I was 5, and my parents let me name it. I was obsessed with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at the time, so naturally I named him Michaelangelo. People who found out about it thought my parents had a child prodigy for naming his kid after a famous artist. Little did they know.
