nj meadowlands
Anyone think this might be a legitimate possibility? If we can't move him for anything good, I suspect he might make a useful player as a 3-4 DE. Thoughts?
AFJF
I'd love it. I mentioned it in a thread the other day about finding a way to trade Ellis but apparently that would cost more than it would save. They'd have to rotate lineman a bit more I'm sure but I'd be fine with it and I think it's what we may end up seeing if nobody wants to take on his deal. Certainly might free him up more to get in and make plays.. A defense that looked like this: Dwayne-Jenkins-Ellis Pace-Harris-Barton-Thomas Revis-Rhodes-Elam/E Smith-CB Draft pick/Miller/Poteat We might have something there
JetsMan57
Its a decent idea, he doesnt have the ideal height to be a 3-4 DE but his speed and burst would give OTs fits. In a 3-4 you dont ask your DL to be sack masters but you would like them to be tall so they can get their hands in the QB's face and flurry the passing windows
Sperm Edwards
With the money we're spending now, with the other higher-priced player(s) we're still talking to, and with another mega-contract coming up at the draft, I'd say it's pretty unlikely. Stroud getting signed by one of the teams that hadn't expressed interest in DRob only increases his chances of getting traded.
AVM
He's shown the small bursts of talent to make one think it'd be worth a shot. A guy like Kris Jenkins will make him and Ellis both 10x more effective--He has the potential, and definately has the right attitude for a position change. We shall see i suppose
DMaynard
DRob is too short to be very effective as a DE. Dwight Freeney is an exception. DRob doesn not have anywhere near Freeney quickness or technique. Time to move him along.

I am new to the nation been bleeding green since 82' live up here in cheater country, hated it the last few years but love it now! I enjoy reading all of the nations post and threads, it nice to finally find a site that knows the jets from the view of real fans with that said d rob if not traded should try de just a little short but who cares could tie up tackles and thats what you want, but if the right trade comes along see ya
KINGDIRK
Dwayne-Jenkins-Ellis That would be 950 pounds of flesh up front. May not provide the best pash rush but sure would occupy a lot of opposing o-linemen. Now we need a Shawn Merriman type to bring this all together.
