Boozer76
I know there's been some hating on him, and he definitely struggled in the 3-4 under Mangini. But if you recall, he started out with us as a 3-4 DE under Al Groh and he had a heck of a season. In fact, he had alot more hype than Abraham did at the time. The main difference then and now? Jason Ferguson vs Dwayne Robertson. He had a solid NT next to him and he thrived because of it. With Jenkins plugging the middle of the line, I expect Ellis to have a very solid season and I think alot of you will be surprised at how well he plays. SoFlaJets
maybe with a better NT next to him he may start to produce again-I have been troubled by his disappearing act for weeks at a time-I've always liked Ellis and hopefully he comes out of his funk and gets back to the production we all know he is capable of
JonEJet
When the Jets play well, or have a god season Sean plays well He needs to be motivated.....
rillo
I expect him to have a good season this year...played much better after the bye week this year. Also play pretty good standing up as a OLB.
vinsjets
When the Jets play well, or have a god season Sean plays well He needs to be motivated..... I don't think it's so much motivation, as it is DLine help. He excelled with J.Abe taking the double teams, and with Ferguson beefing up the DT spot. The signing of Jenkins, theoretically should improve his numbers.
SoFlaJets
When the Jets play well, or have a god season Sean plays well He needs to be motivated..... you're right JonE...that does seem to be the case doesn't it? In '04 when the defense was on the field for 40 minutes a game Ellis seemed to finally just say EFF-IT and sat out the last two games with an injury-I have to say I can't blame him
Boozer76
When the Jets play well, or have a god season Sean plays well He needs to be motivated..... Not motivated, he (like most DE's) needs a solid DT playing next to him. Even in the 4-3, Shaun's best seasons were with Ferguson.

will
coleman jenkins ellis....should work quite well hopefully. lets see what happens. We need better depth at DE, someone who will spell Ellis and then replace him. Balmer, Merling, Moore are top candidates for 3-4 DE. Only Moore has a decent chance to be there at #36. If Merling falls then I can see the Jets packaging some picks to get him. He is just a perfect fit for this defense and is a Mangini lunch pail type guy who is unspectacular but very good at holding his ground and making plays.
