Green Jets & Ham
... this Yankee team better say "#@$% DEFENSE" and toss their nine best hitters out there on a regulat basis Not that it would have mattered when the opposition scores 17 runs, but not every offense is Boston's ... most will score 7 or 8 off these scrub pitchers we are now forced to toss out there a few days a week ... but for the most part throwing these idiots verses a MLB team is like tossing a steak to a staving man Only way you can really give yourself a chance to win these games is to score runs ... lots and lots of runs ... score early and score often, but keep on scoring and shoot for double-digits THAT'S IT ... you're not winning with defense when some idiot like Redding/May/Henn is taking the ball ... NOT HAPPENING ... you will win on the strength of your offesne or you will not win at all I hope that message {17} was driven home last nite? PS. Told you I would be shocked if Redding is still in the game to start the 3rd inning

Jet/BosoxFan
I shouldnt even have to repond to this post because it was written by a complete fraud...but for the benefit of all, I shall bite the bullet and help Yankee fans find some answers. There is a major problem with NYY this year. IT IS THE CURSE OF A-ROD REARING ITS UGLY HEAD!!! The pitching was supposed to be better. There is alot of money invested in Randy, Pavano, and Wright. Wright and Pavano have done ZERO to help due to...well, lots of things. Randy clearly is old and belongs in the NL pitching meaningless games against the Brew-crew. Pavano and Wright may not be the same when/if they come back...And now Wang is out for the year? Bad luck? Hogwash I say. I blame Alex Rodriguez and the curse he brings with him for this turn of events! But moreover, the Yankees lineup is a problem. Not on paper of course...because on paper theyre better than everyone. But we dont play on paper, do we? And in reality, these guys (Jeter excluded) have no heart and cant get it done. Jeter is no longer the face of the Yankees, A-ROD IS THE NEW FACE OF THE YANKEES!!! I fully expect A-rod to win the triple crown and the AL MVP...because the Yankees have no pitching and wont be serious contenders this year! He thrives in environments like that. GimmeShelter
Last time I checked 2 1/2 back in July was considered serious contention. What was Thursday nights environment when ARod homered? Even a Met fan finds your post a bit of a reach.

Jet/BosoxFan
Playa Please!!! Of course A-rod homered...he is well on his way to winning the MVP/triple crown award! He will be unstoppable for the rest of the year. And the Yankees will be on a one trip ride to NOWHERE! 2 1/2 games back in late July??? Third place??? Two hundred million dollars??? If I told you Yankee fans that this would be the case at the beginning of this season, you would have slit your wrists then!!! The words "serious contention" dont exist in the Yankees regular season vocabulary! I dont care if you think I am reaching or not

TaborJet
I think this is the type of thing that gets Randy Johnson fired up. He thrives under pressure, and this will be the biggest test since he put on the pinstripes. The Yankees bats will not be silenced today!

However, much like Randy, he needs a walker to get out to the mound.
