drago
jeez not this again-do we have to listen to the same crap year in and year out with this drama queen? exactly. As a second tier Packer's fan, i cannot wait for him to hang them up. I'm so sick of his bumblings in the playoffs. Everyone wants to think he is some amazing come from behind QB and always puts them in a position to win when the game is close. WRONG! He gives those games away. The Packers had 3 quarters to score 10 points against the Giants and they couldn't do it. He single handily lost the game in Dallas before Rogers came in to save him and keep it close. He lost the NFC championship game when he lobbed up a ball to Dawkins with no receiver within 20 yards. The big overtime win a few years ago again Seattle was won by the defense and running game. As jet fans, if Pennington was handed a running game, as Favre was, both this year and 7, 6, 5, 4 and 3 years ago, if he didn't win a damn Super Bowl there would have been riots. Favre hasn't done **** since 1997 when he had some of the most talented teams to walk across the chalked lines in NFL history. Good ridence Favre. Sure you can come back and beat the mighty 07 Broncos and Chiefs, but if you ever ran into a defense with a CB that acutally has a brain...you're done. RETIRE, GIVE ROGERS THE BALL!!!! AVM
Good news for the Jets... Someone now needs a veteran backup QB... As bad as Pennington has been in cold Buffalo, do you really think he'd fair much better in Green Bay? Im rather sad. I enjoyed watching Brett, and its a sad day to know I'll never watch him play football again. Thanks Brett, even though you were never a Jet, I wish you coulda gone out like Elway. 34st GANG
Great QB aside, he showed his true colors last year when he held the team hostage well past the draft before deciding to return for another season. No suprise that a day after Moss signs he quits. Good luck Brett hope you enjoy your retirement. oh did i mention the word SELFISH!!!

Irish Jet
I just heard this now. Really am in shock., not that I realy care it's just incredibly surprising, I was sure he'd be back TBH. Good news for Rodgers though.
JETS11269
This could very well mean that the Packers will take a QB with their 30th pick. I mean really; does Green Bay's Front Office really believe Rodgers is their next long-term QB?

I mean really; does Green Bay's Front Office really believe Rodgers is their next long-term QB? I don't see why not. He's played very well in the limited time he's been shown and he himself was a 1st rounder, no way do they just give up on him. He will be the guy next year, bank on it!!! I mean really; does Green Bay's Front Office really believe Rodgers is their next long-term QB? Rodgers near single handily brought them back against Dallas, in which Favre got them in a huge mess because the game was, yet again, too big for him to handle. I've become very tired of Favre in the playoffs. Get some new blood in there, i really liked what i saw from Rodgers, and if he is anything like the other backups to brett, he'll turn out to be a good one. Boozer76
I honestly think that in Brett's final game vs the Giants, near the end of the game, he just flat out was too cold to play football. He was snotting out his nose, constantly rubbing his eyes. It finally got to him where he had suddenly started making throws that just made no sense for no good reason. It was like he was trying to force a miracle and it ultimately cost the game. I think he knows that his age is nor prohibitive of him being able to handle the frozen tundra. Kidhuman
It is sad to see Favre go, but it is good also. He is a first ballot HOF'er. It is time for Aaron Rogers to takeover. He has waited patiently while Favre played his head games with the league the last 2 years. At least he told the organization before the draft. kamikaze0214
. He single handily lost the game in Dallas before Rogers came in to save him and keep it close. I forgot that the offensive coordinator gave the reins to favre that game. Oh wait, favre wasn't the one calling the plays. You can thank others for wanting him to force the deep ball. When they went back to their strength (the short passing game) they were able to come back. You should remember that. We watched the game together dousch. I do think it's time for Rodgers to play, but don't act like Favre sucks. He still has one of the strongest arms in the league after playing for 17 years. p.s. do i need that extra money in my account when i come in for the approval? He still has one of the strongest arms in the league after playing for 17 years. p.s. do i need that extra money in my account when i come in for the approval? Every play that is called in the NFL is going to have one semi-deep route. I don't have any doubt that Favre was forcing those routes since all the talk was how poor Roy Williams was in coverage. The opening drive for GB was all short routes and they moved the ball without much trouble. It's when favre got to the 20 on that drive, and every drive after that he tried to let the plays develop, held the ball too long, and got introduced to DeMarcus Ware. The big games have been way too big for favre for over a decade. There is no reason to think Rodgers can't come in and play well, i can't wait to see some new blood back there. With those great receivers, defenders, and offesnsive linemen, the packers are looking at another 3 loss season. Adios Favre. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. -and you last question...no
