johnny green balls
A bona fide #1 WR. trade coles to get one and we kill two birds. then we will be truly free to do whatever we want in the draft. with the rebuilt o-line, a prototypical #1 will have a massive impact on this team. GET IT DONE TANGENIUS.
PeterNorth09
Jets need a franchise quarterback. A trade for Quinn or Anderson is more realistic right now than a trade for Fitzgerald or the Jets finding the next TO in this year's draft.

34st GANG
I'd give our off-season an A if we could get a pass rusher. I gotta agree with you, a pass rusher (GHoson)spelling sorry, would be the final key. If our D is a kick a** get after the QB type the result is better DB play. Our offense gets better with a new line that can run the ball and put even more pressure on the opps Ofense. With the Opps offense looking to stop the run passing game opens up. Our needs never changed all these years, just our FO foucs. It's called control of the Line of Scrimage. We could have that with Ghoshen (spelling). PakiJet
we need 2 WR's and Another LB'er. I would love the Jets to get a big WR--Limas Swead, wr--teaxas AND A SPEEDSTER TO GO WITH IT AND A LB'er that can play ILB AN OLB with height and weight

JETSFAN5180
If Chad is a goner let Quinn and Clemens battle it out for the starting job in training camp. Quinn is better than Cutler and Leinart.

It's irrelevent, he hasn't done anything in the NFL. Leinart and Cutler were hardly scrubs in college either.
TheSage
If that happened I'd have to figure out how to give Tangini a higher grade than A+. When did Brady Quinn becomes a star QB at the major league level? I don't claim the expertise to evaluate young QB's and don't know your qualification but based upon a pretty fair evaluator of QB talent by the name of Ron Jawarski Clemens had as much ability as Cutler and Young. Quinn was even in the same class. As I've said before I believe KC did as well as could be expected for a young QB especially without a significant running attack, a porous OL and no real deep threats (if he had time to throw deep)
shutout
It's irrelevent, he hasn't done anything in the NFL. Leinart and Cutler were hardly scrubs in college either. No,but they sure are shaping up to be scrubs in the pros. Not saying I'd trade #6 for Quinn...I'm fine dumping Chad and living or dying by Clemens. Then next offseason,if Clemens fails, we look into Quinn/Anderson.
#27TheDominator
Ive been saying we need a #1 WR.how about this scenario. Trade Cincinnati D-Rob and Coles for Chad Johnson. Trade the #6 pick to Cleveland for Brady Quinn. Cincinnati doesn't even want to pay DRob. How in the hell do you expect them to take on DRob and Coles' contracts? Especially unlikely since both are probably looking to redo their deals for more money. They gave up a third and fifth for DRob, if that's all they think CJ is worth just give them our second. Considering that Marv Lewis is spreading that it's the injury that killed the deal, while the Jets are claiming it's money there is probably too much blood to expect the Jets to get Johnson. As for the other part...WTF? I won't argue that Quinn will be a bust, but he went in the 20's last season and has not done one single thing to improve his stock. Why would we give up #6 for him now? If they'd take our second you could make a case for it, but #6? I know Tannenbaum has been throwing money around, but I hope he hasn't lost his mind. Arsis
Why would we trade the #6 for someone we could have drafted last year a half a dozen picks lower than that?
MasonJet
Why would we trade the #6 for someone we could have drafted last year a half a dozen picks lower than that? This is why people are armchair GM's, not actual GM's.
