JonEJet
If that draft were to fall that way, don't be too suprised to see Herm and Belipuke make some deal to have the Pats jump us knowing we would want Long, and not want to sign a guy like Clady right now after spending all that $$$$ on the OLine Nevertheless...this scenario WILL NOT HAPPEN....Chris Long will be LONG GONE by

KudosForND
I just don't see the Jets taking a Qb in the 2nd round. Brian Brohm? he is horrible if jets get him in 2nd round ima be so pissed.

As for Brohm, I'd pass on him and wait to the 4th to take a QB, if at all. They need a WR, LB, DE, CB more than they need a QB in round 2 - unless the Clemens experiment is already over. Brohm is not the guy I'd want though. Flacco maybe if they can get a 3rd rounder before draft day. Henne in the 3rd if he slips would be okay. Besides that, maybe give Brett Ratliff more of a look in OTA's and camp. Otherwise next year they will be taking a QB early on in the draft if things don't work out with Clemens. DieHardJetsFan
I'm sorry but I would rather have Gholston over Long for this 3-4 Defense. And drafting a QB in the 2nd round? No way, it's not like we still have a 3rd round pick. If we go Defense in the 1st round, I'm all for drafting the best WR on the board or even the best CB on the board in the 2nd round. Lets give Kellen a chance this year, if he fails, we should go QB in the 1st round next year, not the 2nd this year.

No way he takes Clady with Gholston and Long on the board. Actually, no way he take Clady at all.
SoFlaJets
Round 1 1. Miami Dolphins: Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College This assumes they find no takers to move down, and that
DieHardJetsFan
According to this Mock draft, Gholston will be on the board at #6 in the 1st round And Kenny Phillips will also be on the board when we pick in the 2nd round. Draft Gholston Draft Kenny Phillips Darrell Revis, Kenny Phillips, Kerry Rhodes, David Harris, Vernon Gholston would be an amazing Defense for YEARS to come with players such as Pace, Ellis, Jenkins, Barton and Coleman all helping those young guns out with veteran leadership. Just a thought?
justincredible
I'd rather take Flacco in the 2nd than Brohm.

Arsis
We don't need another second round qb. Makes no sense to replace clemens with another second round qb, especially when no one is really high on the amount of talent coming out at QB this year. Alot of mock drafts have Kenny Phillips on the board when the Jets pick 5th in the 2nd round, he may be off the board by the time we pick, but if Phillips is still on the board...WOW Say we were to draft Gholston in round one and Phillips in round two Would you give this Jets front office an A after day one? I would give us an A even though we dont have a 3rd round pick, but I would just consider Jenkins as our 3rd round pick
