Arsis
I like Elam, he has balls and plays with fire. He goes 100% on every play and he isn't really that bad. I think that he can be a solid starter for us next year.

Irish Jet
He does come accross as a smart guy in that interview. Pity he couldn't come accross as aone on the field.
#27TheDominator
SS???? Rhodes and Washington are SS. Elam and Smith are FS I'm not 100% sure, but I think you have that wrong. Which Washington did you mean? Rashad? He's been gone for ages. I believe that Elam and Smith are SS and that Rhodes is at FS. I think that Coleman is more of a FS, but they had him helping at run support, which I think is part of the reason that he has fallen off since Rhodes emerged. I like Elam. He has a lot to learn, but at that position I like a guy that just runs balls out an slams into things when in doubt. It's like boxers, there are guys that cover up when they are confused and guys that just start winging punches. Elam would be winging away, we'd just like him to be a little less confused. He has made some real bone head plays, but I think they were out of over enthusiasm rather then just being stupid. he was a fairly highly touted player who got in some dumb trouble in college. . Seems to me he is just glad to be in the NFL
Green DNA
I think Elam has the potential to be a Victor Green type, who came from nowhere. This guy was considered a pretty decent talent until the "incident" and his stock fell purely on those issues. He made some boneheaded mistakes last year, but let's chalk those up to inexperience. He is a big time hitter and I wouldn't be surprised if he was starting for the next few years. I like him.

Green DNA
Forgive my ignorance, but what was his "incident"? http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/2007/11/25/2007-11-25_abram_elam_aiming_for_fresh_start.html In April 2002, a Notre Dame junior named Lindsay Charles accused three football players of raping her at an off-campus house. A fourth, Elam, wasn't charged with rape, but was in the bedroom. Elam fondled her and wound up being convicted of sexual battery, a felony. The others walked away, no convictions.
