I'm in complete HELL!

Hey fellas, anyone ever had surgery on their ACL before ?

I just got it done Thursday morning, and the pain is indescribable. The pain killers hardly work, I hardly can move, I also have this huge brace on it.

I'm literally in hell right now.

i had my ACL replaced ... the first week was not fun.. are you keeping the ice on it .. did they give you that contraption with the ice and cooler and sort of a cold water bottle with pumps? i enjoyed the percocet.

That medication is like sex on a pill, it makes you feel so good. It doesn't last long enough tho, I put ice on it sometimes, it's not really making a difference because my clothing is really thick.

It's my second day, and I feel like I'm dieing.

you need to have that ice on all the time. second day after surgery is the worst day.

and if your clothes are too thick.. you could change them. and then use the ice.

if they didnt give you a contraption ..put the ice in a ziplock bag wrap it in a towel and put it around your knee.. i assume you are all bandaged up with the velco brace on top of it?

are you at your parents house? who is taking care of you?

Mission accomplished in the end. Mrs. Sperm fell for it. Or at least she had the good taste to pretend to fall for it anyway.

hmmm... i met mrs. spermy... she is lovely... i do think you must have either drugged her or blackmailed her... or both... but just falling for a "glistening spermy" doesnt seem like it would be a deal clincher.

:D

Yeah I'm only 17. I feel bad for my mom I keep waking her up and all that stuff, but I have to adjust my knee and she's the only one that can help me with that. I just hope I get some good sleep tonight unlike yesterday. Thanks for the advice tho!

At first when I read the title thread, I thought you were going to say JR128 was in the bushes in your front yard watching you undress.

I feel for you man. I have never done it, but a guy at work did and he was messed up. Just had the surgery and he was in pain for 3 months before.

Thanks man, I really need to.

after they put a screw in my foot, i couldn't even describe how much that hurt. Then i watch a war movie and see a guy with his stomach cut open, and i shut my mouth.

It's a lot of pain ghost...good luck man. Keep taking the Oxycodones, i hope they didn't give you the childs play garbage that we all know as vicodine.

I had reconstructive knee surgery to replace my ACL with a chunk of my hammy, it is not fun at all. Gotta keep the ice packs handy, and try to sleep when possible. Percs knock the edge off of the pain, but it is pure hell while confined to the bed.

Get well man.

I had it done 25 years ago. I had to spend a week in the hospital with some 90 year old guy moaning in the bed next to me for a week straight. If I could have gotten up I would've done a "Cucko's Nest" move on him with pillow.
