TaborJet
I'm working nights this coming week. Can we set the clocks ahead 5 or 6 more hours?
Bugg
I have a hard time believing the benefits of daylight savings time outweigh the confusion and disruptions the clocks springing ahead and falling back causes. And I don't know how to program ny ihome clock radio, which I think is programmed to spring ahead when the time was supposed to go ahead in April. Bob
I don't know how to program ny ihome clock radio, which I think is programmed to spring ahead when the time was supposed to go ahead in April. I've got one of those, too. I had to change it this morning and I'll have to change it again in a few weeks when it thinks it needs to change itself. So, technology that was supposed to make it so you don't have to change it at all actually make it so I have to change it four times a year instead of twice. Garb
i just hate that we have to suffer to get it.... but alas.. everything good comes with a cost.. wooooooooooooooo... how is THAT for a sunday morn??? "losing" an hour of sleep is well worth the hope that Spring is right around the corner....which means warmer weather, sunnier skies, and forsakiing sweaters, wool pant suits and ugly commuting through the slush boots. Ah, open toe sling backs, pretty floral skirts, coming home from work with daylight to spare. Sounds fabulous.
Panzer Division Marduk
They should just leave it on summer time all year round.
Bugg
They should just leave it on summer time all year round.Agreed. We were told when it was instituted that it ahd to do with farming, but that's pretty much nonsense. How many people are employed in agriculture these days anyway-less than 5% of the workforce, may be even less? And it's not like the cows to be milked and chickens laying eggs are playing games with their clocks, since they have no idea.

Kidhuman
Sure as hell wasnt easy this Sunday morning. I hate losing an hour. They need to stop this bullchit of DST.
Boozer76
This is totally useless. We all now have the feeling that spring warm weather is near when, in fact, it's really not. Spring warm weather was "near" when DST was 3 weeks from now at its normal time. Now warm weather is "near" plus 3 weeks, which isn't really "near" at all. Tictac
I didn't realize it was savings time until my computer and alarm clock didn't match up. I had better change the times on the appliances in the kitchen before I am really early to somewhere important.

bitonti
I have a hard time believing the benefits of daylight savings time outweigh the confusion and disruptions the clocks springing ahead and falling back causes. And I don't know how to program ny ihome clock radio, which I think is programmed to spring ahead when the time was supposed to go ahead in April. there was a recent study that the money saved by less electric light is offset (and then some) by the increases in heating and cooling costs. DST is a scam.
