Beer Pong

I'm not ignoring you. we usually don't play with paddles. I think I've used it once, when we had a Beerfest tournament at our house (like the movie, we had people in teams representing different countries, and had different drinking games throughout the house). It is basically what Spaceman described, Most kids in my generation I think play Beirut while just calling it beer pong.

i see////well now i know for sure. mystery solved!

Alright, so 124 has joined the fray and there have been a lot of challenges for beer supremacy. So there is only one way to solve this. There needs to be some sort of future JN Oktoberfest Beer Competition at a JN tailgate next season.

There is always Beer Pong being played at 5H.

Are you coming out for a game Mav?

Depends on the region of the country.

I went to school in Florida and nobody called it Beirut. It was just "beer pong".

Anyways, I'm pretty sure I would dominate most of you in beer pong should a theorectical JN Beer Pong Tournament of Champions ever commence.

I wouldn't mind setting up 2-3 tables at the jets home opener and hosting a beer pong tourney with free beer and all. Here is my old table, gonna make a new one for next season, maybe i need to make more then one!

What do you say max?

That and the 5H table go good together.

I'd like to before I try and move out to Europe.

I'm going to be in Nantucket until October. Hopefully I can make a trip up there and see a game with you guys.

The way our 'House Rules' were at FSU:

1. Generally threw with an upward arc, although I knew a few guys who were effective at throwing a bee line at the cups. A few guys would use the b-lines to knock cups over, which pissed me off b/c that takes no talent.

2. If the ball goes in the cup, that team has to remove it and drink. If you make two cups, your side gets to shoot again.

3. If you 'skunk' another team (i.e. you sink every cup and they hit none) the other team has to run around the house naked. We usually only applied this rule when we were playing females)

4. We banned anyone from interfering with the ball unless it was a bounce. Some people let guys scoop the ball out of the cup with their fingers or let girls blow it out. We thought that was BS.

5. We could bounce it, but the other team had the right to swat. If you bounced it in, it was 2 cups.

5. And the biggest rule we had: Elbows behind the table. We were extremely strict when it came to this, even to the point we kicked a guy out of our house for arguing with us about it. Takes more talent to sit back and sink one from a distance then reach across the table and plop one in there.

Oh yeah, and last rule, NFL QBs get to shoot first.

Did you come up with those rules when you were drunk? No other reason would explain why you had # 5 listed twice!

That would be pretty interesting Mavrik and a hell of an experience. If you ever get to a game you are more than invited to 5H to partake in the festivities

Appreciate it. I haven't been to a home game since 05', so I figure I'm long overdue to come back to the Meadowlands and pre-game with everyone. Hopefully it'll work out.

Definitely Max, definitely. I'll hear all sorts of stories - regardless of their validity.

Silly Jets fans getting drunk.

;)

I think the tourney is a good idea.

Oh and Garb I heard a great Garb story this week, lol.
