Just arrived after 2 days of flying in a tube, thought I would stop in and say hello. I cant believe how the bases here are built up so much. I actually have great reception and speeds on my laptop from a wireless network. There is taco bell, subway, pizza places all on base, its madness. I guess we plan on staying here for along time...lol. Well, everything is great, so far so good. I will be checking on here from time to time for draft info and such.

PS. what does my ip show up as?

It shows up as Kuwait. Pretty funny that there is a Taco Bell.

Hey did you get to see any clips of the fight last night?

Don't give up my exact location max....lol, j/k. Yes, I saw the fight, its was pretty good. I just went to a kuwait shop and as soon as the merchants see americans they are all over you. If your looking at watches they will actually put it on your wrist and make you feel obligated to buy it...lol. These guys are worse than used car salesmen. Gotta keep my eyes open though when i'm down there, word on the street is that there are contracts on our heads, even this far south.....the iraqi border is only 24 miles away. With the naval commander quiting last week, that just means Iran is just around the corner, then I will be foward deployed and who knows when I'll be back. .....I'll keep all of you updated.

Glad you saw the fight. I watched the replay of the one from 4 years ago yesterday afternoon. I didn't PPV last nights. I will watch it, I think it is airing for free on HBO next Saturday. Sounded like another good fight with a decision that could have gone either way.

Stay safe man!

Damn, you're lucky. I want Taco Bell. That reminds me, my bro dropped off some for me yesterday when he went there, knowing I love that stuff. He gave me about fifty packets of fire sauce, handed it to me, and went off to the pub, where he proceeded to get kicked out of. While I'm stuck writing a effing paper.

I'm rambling. Stay safe though Vin. Enjoy the Taco Bell.

I'm the type of guy that would go to Iraq just for Taco Bell. But then again that's only during my Taco Bell urges, like now. And I also forgot the just kidding part. Damnit.

They are right outside base. THey are also very expensive now that the Asian market is using them as meat instead of cows because of mad cow. The white ones are for prestige and I advise everyone to stay away. By the way, the locals are very nice people, reguardless of what you read.

Stay safe Vinny!! You'll probably run into my daughter in Kuwait as she's on her way back, God willing, and best I know thats the only way in and out of that place.

Funny story that army people would appreciate - when she went back after her leave in October, she was in Kuwait in a staging area waiting to go back to her assignment in Iraq. It was just above freezing in the tent she was in and the heater wasnt working. So I'm talking to her online and shes telling me how she's freezing her butt off and like a dumbazz I'm typing to her - "well go tell somebody youre cold and they'll give you a blanket or a coat or something". I type that about 3 times with no response from her and I'm beginning to think she's pissed at me. Finally she types a response that basically says that they're issued sleeping bags that are good to minus 40F and she chose not to lug hers with her all the way home and back and therefore didnt have hers with her and wasnt prepared for the freezing night in Kuwait. She knew she was 10 times better off frozen than caught by a higher up trying to scavenge something because she wasnt prepared. I felt bad for her but it was good to see the discipline meant something as that could save her life or other lives. Stay safe and come back as soon as you can Vinny - we just might have a team this year.

Of all the things that camel meat could be used for that is actually the best possible outcome.
