Matt39
Trailing, 5-1, entering the ninth -- which had seminal moment written all over it -- Manny Ramirez led off with a prodigious blast to left-center off Tom Gordon. He finished his swing with an emphatic flourish that seemed to tick off Posada. Posada followed Ramirez a few steps up the line, then turned for the third base line, perhaps to say something to Ramirez on his way home. But plate umpire Jerry Meals made sure to occupy Posada as Ramirez completed his trot. The two players did not exchange any words, at least not at that moment. ''We try to play the game the right way," Posada said later. ''That's the only thing I have to say. You're down by three runs."

The guy has Jason Giambi and Gary Sheffield on his team and he wants to talk about someone ELSE doing things "the right way"? Is that a joke? TomShane
Sheff dogs it occasionally, not nearly as bad as Manny though. But Giambi always plays hard. Giambi is an admitted steroid user who tried to pass off complications from roid abuse as having cancer. Shef is one of the biggest, most self-serving malcontents in league history who turns to the dugout on pop-ups. The "right way"? That is a f*cking joke. That's like Jim Brown giving talks on curbing domestic violence.
Jet/BosoxFan
who does Whore-hay Posada always seem to insert himself into stuff like this? Yankee fans, lets not get crazy here. Have your fun now and all (btw, enjoy a healthy dose of Texas and Anaheim) but youre crazy if you dont think there will be a seesaw of lead changes until the end of this season

Of course he did steroids. Everyone knows that. So did a lot of other players, probably even some on the Mets. They were just never caught. But it's not a Met standing in his $208 million dollar ivory tower here chiding others for not doing things the "right way" when he has two of the biggest a-holes in baseball in his locker room. Expecially a loser like Posada.

Now with that said, he is one of the worst when it comes to running out a ground ball. I mean, it looks like he goes out of his way to not break a sweat. If he had it his way, there would be a recliner in the dugout and a six-pack waiting for him . The guy is a couch-potato power hitter.

LionelRichie
who does Whore-hay Posada always seem to insert himself into stuff like this? why rag jorge when he is obviously in the right? 5-1 manny hits a solo home run and he stands at home like he just hit a game-winning HR. then they show him yukin it up in the dugout w/damon. did manny even know what inning it was and what the score was? my guess is probably not. i agree w/jorge and i bet you that any of the red sox all-time greats would too - down 4 in the ninth nobody cares if you hit a HR so act w/some class and like a team player. what do you think teddy ballgame would have to say about that crap if he were still alive? Barton
Mannys always been a hot head. A few weeks ago he hit a homerun, did a little skip outa the batters box and undid the velcro on his batting gloves He should have been beaned in the head in his next at bat. SERIOUSLY. He should have been beaned right in the head. Manny can take his .270 batting average and stick it up his a**.

Barton
....But he wasn't, because there aren't any Yankee pitchers with a pair of testicles. They just don't exist. HELLO Manny didnt do the batting glove bit against the Yankees, it was against another team. And Manny gloated in the 9th inning yesterday and he wasnt gonna get another AB for retaliation for his stupid antics, especially in a close important game. Manny is a POS. If he did that gloating crap against the Yankees in the 1st game of a series in the 2nd inning he'd get properly beaned in his next at bat. LionelRichie
Like I said....no he wouldn't. to get him to stop with the horse sh*t, you don't need to hit many, you hit the guy after him. if enough guys get hit b/c of manny they will deal with him in the clubhouse. that is baseball - you show someone up and either you or someone on your team gets hit. that is the way the game is played. and no EB, you don't hit them in the head.
