Offical: Hall Agrees to 70 Million Deal

One has to wonder if they can afford to pay both Hall and Asomugha?

Doubt it and Asomugha is the corner I would much rather have on my team, he needs to sign his franchise tender quick in case they are going to try and remove it now. He will cash in big time if he hits FA next year, it's to late to fully cash in this year. Really wish Asomugha hit FA this year, I would have rather payed him then Pace.

Thats insane money..but let's be real.

Assomogha, Hall and Gabril Wilson are one sick secondary!

It is, but they are overpaying both Wilson and Hall.

They also gave Russell a bonus as well. What is Al Davis doing ?

Good, now maybe everyone will watch the Raiders go 6-10 next season and realize that having two great CBs means jack **** when you have no pass rush.

Sorry Troll, but with the money dished out to Pace, I don't understand why the Jets would select Gholston. I like him and think he'll do well, but with the money being paid to Pace and Thomas, I just don't see it happening.

If McFadden isn't there they should take Gholston.

Another CB would be a wasted pick.

I don't care who they take. Whether it is Gholston, someone with a last name of Long, McFadden, Ryan, Dorsey, or Ellis, as long as it isn't a CB, I will be fine with it.

A corner would be better than Long...

Ellis, Dorsey, Ryan and McFadden would all be wasted selections. Gholston, maybe, but they then would either have to bench / release Thomas or move Pace to the inside. Don't really care to pay $42 million over 6 years to an Inside 'Backer not named David Harris.

A Cornerback is one of their last needs and is the way the Jets must go, if not Receiver, in Round 1.

Last needs? You realize the Jets offense is still pathetic right?

In what sense?

They have a good Offensive Line, Solid Backfield, Very Good #2 Receiver and Two Tight End's.

They have a question mark at the Quarterback position and need a #1 Receiver with speed badly. They cannot take another QB in Round 1 and eat up a large amount of the salary there, so that rules out Ryan. That leaves Receiver and Cornerback and Cornerback has much better players than Receiver does. I mean, honestly, for those who watch NCAA Football, did you ever think Malcom Kelly or Limas F'ing Sweed would be talked about as Top 10-20 picks?

The backfield is mediocre and they once again have zero big play threats on their offense. The player in this draft with the potential to be that guy is McFadden. They can't pass on him.

Our offense is still terrible. We have fixed the offensive line, but if we trot out the same ****ty skill position guys we did last year, the offense is still going to suck. I would be fine with Ryan, because it would mean the end of Pennington. Same with DMC in regards to the Dancing Bear. And I would rather convert one of the DTs to end, rather than waste a second straight 1st rounder on the least important position on the entire defense. If Aaron Ross + Corey Webster, Jason David + Nick Harper, and DeShea Townsend + Ike Taylor can win Super Bowls, then we will do just fine with Revis and John Q. JAG.

People are kidding themselves if they think Bust DMC will ever be a "playmaker". Leon Washington will be more of a playmaker than Bust DMC ever will be in the National Football League. We're not in Arkansas taking direct shotgun snaps anymore.

Terrible? No. Offensive production starts with the Offensive Line. If the Line sucks, guess what, everything else is going to suck as well. The offense the Jets trot onto the field right now can score in the 20's, and with the players the aquired on defense, this D shouldn't be letting up more than a couple of touchdowns per game anyway.

Stop bringing up the friggin direct snaps. That was 4-5 plays a game. NOT a factor. There is NO DOUBT that McFadden has gamebreaking speed and if the Jets online is really improved next year he'll have a lot of room to use that speed. There is nothing wrong with drafting on upside.
