Nobody gave me jack squat when I bought a Sega Saturn instead of a Playstation. Anyone could have looked at the specs and saw that Blueray was going to win this battle. war ensemble
This is only for Toshiba and Microsoft's HD-DVD drive, which sucks for people who bought other manufacturer's HD-DVD players.

Yeah, but do they make every HD-DVD player out there? It's been over. But people don't get any rebates on any other HD-DVD players.
tparich
There have been several time that I have been to best buy and heard a sales rep tell the customer that HD-DVD is winning the format war and it's only a matter of time before Blu is gone. I think they were getting some kind of spiff for pushing them. In this situation I think the customers that were lied to should get a full refund. But since there is no way to know for sure who got lied to then I guess this works.
