DieHardJetsFan
I would love for Kenny Phillips to fall in the hands of the Jets in the 2nd round, but I just dont see it happening Lets just hope that one of these players will still be on the board with the 5th pick in the 2nd round 1. Leodis McKelvin, CB/PR, Troy, 5′11, 187 2. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, Tennessee State, 6′2, 175 3. Mike Jenkins, CB, South Florida, 6′0, 200 4. Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona, 6′1, 192 5. Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas, 6′2, 205... Well it looks like McKelvin, Rogers-Cromartie, Jenkins will ALL be drafted in the 1st round, I think Cason, Talib or even Brandon Flowers would be a perfect fit in the secondary with Revis and Rhodes, either way... We should get a solid CB in the 2nd round to start over Miller or Barrett.
rick34125
Antoine Cason with our 2nd round pick... would be a top 15 pick in any other draft. Next to Revis would be sweet. http://www.newerascouting.com/profiler/viewprofile.php?id=35 2v0o1g52Cvk

Greenseed3
If Cason slips into the second round we will draft him. We are reportedly high on him, and have been for some time. The kid has great character (started a Cancer foundation), great skills, and great size. His worst attribute is his "****iness" which is something you want in your cornerbacks. At the bottom of his scouting report it says he: "could be as good as Al Harris" or "could be as bad as Andre Woolfork" I think that's funny since we have Woolfork on our squad. JetFanatic
Depending on how the first round goes, if we end up with hopefully McFadden or Gholston then we will be drafting a CB in the second round. Now I havent really done any research on team needs at the CB position as far as the draft goes so I'm really in no shape research wise to see who will be available come the 2nd round as far as CB's go. What I do know is that this draft is deep in "specialty" CBs so come our pick in the second round I think we're going draft one of the very good corners that are left and if for some reason one isn't then we'll draft the best WR available. Either way you slice though, whether we end up picking a CB or a WR with that pick... he's going to be a good one.

PeterNorth09
we should take a CB Not in round 1 though. We have way bigger needs plus the 5 yard rule has made the position less important.

rick34125
Interesting discussion on Brandon Flowers and how he is rated in the draft. worth a look since he will likely be available at 36. http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d807a7875 Here's another one on flowers from nfln, a quick look at him talking about himself: http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d807a7571

Garb
This is where the punsihment from spygate stings. The Pats had the second to last pick in the first round in addition to it's SF pick - which is now at 7. They could have traded up for Gholston??? - and picked up a decent second round pick? Or, they could have sat and picked up a decent CB prospect (they need one desperately) with the second of their first two rounders? The possibilities were there. Now they are very limited. And, what makes things even more interesting is that the Jets pick at 6. How much draft-day, bull rumor, trade talk, false interest stuff is going to happen the days leading up to and the day of the draft 'gonna bring? 'Gotta love it though. It's fun.
