SouthernJet
Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day: I always make sure I go to a Frances McDormand flick so I made sure I went to this before it left the area. Throw in Ciaran Hinds, one of my favorite character actors along with Amy Adams and we have a neat cast. This is basic feel good romantic comedy set in pre WWII London. An American wannabe starlet is basically tramping around for the fancy life. Enter her life a yeasterday on the soup line Frances McDormand who was just fired , again, as a Nanny. She tricks her way to being employed by Adams and we are off to races. The ever so unlucky McDormand has the day of her life as Adams gentleman friends jockey to be 'the one'. The film has a mini film noir feel to it and the 1939ish London is always a cool thing on the screen. In the end, its a happy romantic comedy tha twill sure to please those who enjoy that genre. 3's

I have a lot of patience for movies. I can sit thru most anything in hopes of it gettin better. watched around the universe a short while back with my son who is a movieholic and he cried uncle 1st & finally walked away from that garbage movie. I woulda kept watching if he did but nonbeatles singing beatle songs thru a pointless movie goin nowhere really sucked.
