SoFlaJets
my Aunt Angie died the other day and my cousin Denise asked me if I could play her favorite song at her service. So I'm listening to it again for the thousandth time and it still sounds so good to me. Frank was like Springsteen to NJ-ians before there ever was a Springsteen. He was like your uncle or something growing up. The guy was around my age when he recorded that song live in the studio with an orchestra and it still blows me away to thsi day at how friggin great he was. I'm gonna try and do my Jersey uncle Frank proud for my Jersey Girl aunt Angie tomorrow afternoon...it ain't gonna be an easy task to get through without crying but I'll do my best....I almost have it down now... Curios if you'll add it to yer repetoire when you get it down. why don't ya post a live version for us I really want to do some live recordings again and get some stuff up on YouTube too...I hope to perform it tonight for practice-my crowds are usually pretty cool with me on that stuff-it always helps to apologize first just in case you really suck and if it turns out no SO bad they say-"you SEE? you don't suck THAT bad"...a little trick I've learned over the years I also want to record with my band Tropical Storm for a new CD-I have a whole batch of songs that need drums and bass and guitars and piano and strings and harp and mandolin and percussion-I want this next one to be the best I ever made and think it could be. SoFlaJets
sounds like you need to call the sessions band sfj ......... they did a pretty good job backin up bruce over in dublin too expensive jw...my drummer Pat and bassist Tim know me and we play well together-we're a pretty good folk rock band together-never could find a lead guitarist that fits in or wants to learn the original stuff down here. I wish my blood brother Mike from Montclair didn't sell all his stuff for dope-he is the best guitarist and most creative guy I ever had work on my songs-I still use his ideas to this day when recording-you gotta have cats that can play your songs-like The E Street Band KNOWS and loves The Boss-Tropical Storm knows and loves my writing
