SUorangefootball
I believe Gholston will be TOP OVERALL PICK this year followed by Chris Long, Jake Long, and yes, Darren McFadden ( i just can't see Al Davis passing on McFadden) That being said, I think the Jets bets bet (since trading down simply won't happen due to lack of takers with this scenario being present) Is to stay put and Take Leodis McKelvin which puts our secondary into elite status in a year or two with Rhodes Revis McKelvin and Elam (who is a nice cheap compliment to the other three) This will allow our defense to flourish and i honestly don't see any options available besides him provided we can't trade down. Thoughts?

Thoughts? You cant see the raiders passing on mcfadden?? whys that?? cause they need an extra running back? they have four so far and havent cut any of them.. They invested three years into fargus.. It makes no sense for them to take Mcfadden.. I cann see them trading.. but not taking him.. they cant even afford a top 5 running back.. after walker and hall.. Besides..if anyone actually follwed college footbal on here they would remember that Bush..Michael bush was a top 10 telent coming out of louisville... broke his leg..but still was taken in the third round by the raiders because he was so good.. He..Bush is healthy again... and what are they going to do with him? just cut him?? and lamont jordan??? for a position they dont need? I can only hope chris long is there when the raiders pick.. cause I wouldnt even worry about them taking mcfadden at that point... Howies son? position of need? no brainer.. My feeling is your points make sense and Al Davis does not run his organization with sense in mind which is why they will take McFadden (by the way they should look into hiring you , you'd be an upgrade over their current decision makers). Never the less its not a knock on McFadden, i'd like to see him in Green if its meant to be, but if he's not there i'm happy with McKelvin. aec4
Plasticman doesn't reach as far as the team that takes McKelvin at #6.
Irish Jet
If we were left in a scenario where Long, Long, Ryan, McFadden and Gholston were off the board (Nightmare scenario IMO) then I would be content taking McKelvin at 6 if we couldn't trade down. NY JET 29
I think I'd rather pull a vikings and pass on the pick. Can someone explain that to me? If you pass on the pick do you still get a player in that round, or what????

The next team (Pats) would be on the clock as well. Both teams would be on the clock basically, and the draft will carry on as normal until the Jets make their pick. He says jets.. and Pats!! I could not live with the pats atking him and we have to face him two times a year.. and trust me to have our arch rivals get him and he turned out to be a HOF...we would be devastated for years.. StraightCash
As far I see it... we basically can not screw up this pick. Between Gholston, both Longs, McKelvin, Ryan, or Mcfadden.. I'd basically be happy with any of those. The only players I wouldn't want to see are Dorsey or Ellis.
