Be Kind Rewind:

Holy Crap, I thought Nacho Libre was bad!!!!!!!!!!!

This might have been the most over the top pretentious piece of crap I have seen in quite awhile.

I saw nothing redeeming, nothing funny. I can only imagine Jack Black has gotten big enough now to push through a POS like this and in his mind think others will enjoy.

It was so poorly done, so poorly scripted that it was painful to watch.

It MIGHT , and I say, might , have been a funny 10 minute skit on SNL.

Redoing movies in 10 minutes format to save a video store, please,,

It sucked..do not go, dont even waste 90 minutes when it is free on TV.

Thanks SJ. It didn't sound like my type of movie but I'm glad you clarified it. :sign0098:

I enjoyed it, but I also like 'The Sound of Thunder'.

I did love 'Death at a Funeral', though.

i enjoyed it also, thor

i thought it was funny.. i do like jack black though.. i loved the idea and just thought it was odd and quirky.

deep it is not, but it put a smile on my face.

i guess we disagree on this one, sj ;)

different flick, different reaction..

leatherheads will not get great reviews,,sports movies never do,,doesnt mean it wont entertain,,aka 21 entertained me..

jack black flick juists didnt have enough over 90 minutes to keep me interested..

when i say nacho libre i mean another vehichle where jack black is basically doing a adlib movie as camera rolling and thinking everypone else thinks its as funny a she does..

he needs a serious respected comedy quickly or he may start to lose steam,,he is getting a tad 'out there'

early review from Variety

Leatherheads

By TODD MCCARTHY

rleatherheads.jpg

George Clooney and John Krasinski star in the pigskin pic 'Leatherheads'

Dodge Connolly - George Clooney

Lexie Littleton - Renee Zellweger

Carter Rutherford - John Krasinski

CC Frazier - Jonathan Pryce

Commissioner - Peter Gerety

Harvey - Jack Thompson

Suds - Stephen Root

In his third spin behind the camera, George Clooney attempts one of the hardest things there is to do -- re-create the fizz of old Hollywood screwball comedies -- and creates just a mild buzz.

No disrespect..but movie critics are the most useless people on earth.

Everyone has a different opinion, and not all people will like the same movie. Your telling me you, Siskel, or Ebert should tell me whether or not YOU enjoyed a movie or not?

Be Kind, Rewind was a great movie..IMO, which is really all that counts.

ughhh, I have had this discussion so many times its starting to bore me..

if you listen to one person u r nuts,,

thats why i go by my personal tastes, but I cant go to every movie that comes out,,so i use mega reviewers to get a overall feel of what movie is like,,

metacritic takes 30 of top reviewers in country and compiles a score , aka, 3 stars = 75 points, 2 stars = 50 points etc,,

this way you have a pretty good take on flick,,not infected by one or two people who hate movie oe love it,,math balances it out..

I NEVER listen to one or two critics, NEVER..

But 20 to 30 gives u a great sample and a pretty good idea if horrid, good or average,,after that its your personal taste that will make u decide..

I will go to any movie, regardless of reviews for certain actors and directors,,

but for others, I need to have a semblance of what the flick is bringing to table...

i am glad u liked rewind, that is all that counts, many reviewers liked it also, i am not a fan of slapstick humor,,but thats just me..

Again, you cant go to every movie, I go to 2 a week at theater..
