Alk
Took my kids to see this one on Friday night. I was pretty excited to see it considering it had two of my favorite funnymen in it. Gotta say I was pretty disappointed. I found myself just looking around the theater instead of actually watching the movie. My older son and his friend seemed to like it okay but to me it definately would have been worth waiting for DVD.

SouthernJet
Thanks for review ALK,,old SJ wont be going to this one so your input is needed,, HOWEVER,,, I will say this ,,from my experience, childrens movies that carry a pure G rating, like Horton, will 99% of time be really really boring for adults..you have to review this from a child's point of view purely, which you also did..so I would say no adult alone would go to this movie..they would only go with child or grandchild,,so IMHO this movie was a success as you said your son liked it.. Here is the Hollywood secret: When they also want a child's movie that adults can not only enjoy with a kid, BUT also enjoy when attending without a kid, they make it PG,,then I review it also from adult persepective,,but PURE G..its kids only baby.. I don't know, there have been quite a few kids movies that were G rated but still had some little inside jokes that only adults would get. Movies like Shrek. I really enjoyed Bee Movie and Ratatouille as well.
