MagicBizkit87
A conversation with Auburn's Quintin Groves By Hoss Aultman Posted Apr 5, 2008 Q)Have a lot teams talked to you about being a 3-4 outside linebacker? Groves: I started two games this year at Sam linebacker to get me some exposure at the position. I have the athleticism to play outside linebacker, but I also have the strength to play defensive end. Q)What do you need to show the 3-4 teams to convince them you can play outside linebacker? Groves: I think I have to display my hip flexibility, show I can flip my hips, catch the ball, break on the ball. I think I can show a team this guy can play outside linebacker if you need me to play it. Q)How many teams at the combine talked to you about playing outside linebacker? Groves: I spoke to nine teams and I think all nine asked me,
BroadwayJ667
I think if the Jets get the chance to they should draft both Gholston and Groves. They say what the giants did to brady. An unrelenting pass rush will unseat the Pats

Irish Jet
Better hope the opponent doesn't score 7 points. If they do, they win, if we do not improve this offense. LOL, you're an idiot if you think our offence (which has already been upgraded) is that bad.
rick34125
LOL, you're an idiot if you think our offence (which has already been upgraded) is that bad. aec4 has a point. our offense has to prove it can score more points. you have a point too. just how significant are the changes to our OL? if you would have said to me last year after the loss of Kendall that we would go 4-12 I wouldn't have believed it. now with the additions of faneca, woody, richardson, franks and chatman how much of an improvement should we expect to see? on paper our offense looks good enough to compete for the playoffs. something i wouldn't have believed before our FO went on a tear during FA. at the same time i don't think there's much more they could do with this draft to improve the offense for this year, even if they grabbed someone like mcfadden. the key is really in the QB position and we'll just have to see what clemens brings. on the other hand the draft could really make our defense a lot better right away by drafting defense in the 1st 2 rounds. Arsis
If we have a good defense, it makes scoring points easier for the offense. Better field position, take aways and whatnot lead to more points scored. I'd rather take the more talented defensive guy available than reach for some offensive guy because we feel like we need a upgrade. That would just be silly. bobbyjet69
Gholston at #6, CB or WR at the 2nd round pick. Gholston, Pace and Harris should open up BT's play. Hopefully similar to 06.

That would just be silly. i completely agree with this. drafting defense in the 1st 2 rounds is the best way to make our offense better this year. consider the talent we would have on defense if we draft let's say gholston and flowers in the 1st 2 rounds. 8 of our 11 starters would be either 1st round selections or projected 1st round selections. that's a lot of talent. of course talent doesn't in and of itself make a good defense. we'd have to wait and see how they play together, but i'd like their chances.
