Come 2009, there will be no tailgating anyway. At least not how we now know it. Johnson and the Maras look out over those trails of grill smoke and see more American dollars in their pockets from 2009 and on. 124
The Jets sent something in the mail about this with the parking option. What did it exactly say? I will not know until the end of April / early May, that is when I receive my tickets / parking and all that jazz.

124
The JETS OFFICE said it was going to be the same as last season you get there first ,you get first choice of spots in the paid section. Paid section? Do you mean you can park in any parking lot or you must park in a certain parking lot? Last year you were able to park anywhere, this year you are cut down to a number such as Parking Lot 5 or Lot 16 or Lot 13 only?

Then why not just build in NYC somewhere - convenienet by subway, ferry, whatever. That's absolute bull if that is true.
Green DNA
I didn't read that. The Jets just billed automatically for parking passes (and raised the price by $5, surprise!!). The message I got was that all those who paid for the passes last year "reserved" the right to purchase the passes this year. Those who did not have to wait and see if there are any left. Woody is still a tool though.
BP
The JETS OFFICE said it was going to be the same as last season you get there first ,you get first choice of spots in the paid section. Thanks Joisey! But we received ''a designated parking spot''. we did not have ''a designated parking spot'' last year. or maybe I'm personally being picked on by Woody? I have to fish out the paper work and I'll be a little more clear on this.

BP
Section 140??? WTF When did that happen??? Are you in 140? I like those seats in the end zone, but I usually don't get first dibs on them anymore. I gave up my seat in frustration of Herman Edwards. there in my brothers name. now I have to see who's bailing to get a shot at them. last year I used the tickets from work a lot in sec 339 those seats suck! BaumerJet
What if someone parks in your spot then? Actually, according to the letter, we are being restricted to park in a specific area (based on our entry area) to park. Those not parking in those areas may be towed. It's all in preparation to the completion of the stadium/New parking area in 2012. They intend to force us to park in sections based on where we are supposed to enter, unless we're willing to tailgate & pony-up the extra cash for those sections. Just like every other stadium in the US.

124
There arn't going to be assigned spots. According to the Jets, who I called today, there are no assigned spots and you will be able to park wherever you want. So which is it? I mean, it doesn't matter to me because if I'm "forced" to park in a parking lot near the gate of where my seats are located, it will be 16 where I parked for almost every game for 11 seasons, so I would just have to continue walking over to the Kingsley and 5H. Hopefully the Jets are right and the few posters here are wrong and we'll be able to park wherever in '08 and '09.
124
My question is this: They take the f'ing parking passes at the gate, so how are they going to know (if its printed on the actual parking pass) where you are supposed to park? I still don't believe this crap, as I believe the office of the Jets when they say there will be no restrictions to parking this season. I hope they're right. Dragging a sytrofoam cooler from 16 to 11 to 5 is annoying as **** and I'd much rather have my real cooler and drag it nowhere.

If you used the ticketmaster forwarding service last year to send tix to someone it looked like the parking pass had a number assigned to it but it really didn't. You're right, I don't have to buy tickets, and I might not. where did I say that I cared if anybody cared? I will publicly bash that douchebag owner we have though. And since you seem to be so knowledgeable of the situation, how do you enforce this stupid regulated parking? If you go to the games you can't answer that question because it can't be done. it would be a cluster **** of epic proportions.
