Assuming the top ten rounds out similar to plan, who will flop? Pick as many as you like, but i'd like to go on record and say that Sedrick Ellis will out preform Dorsey and Chris Long will be the premiere linemen taken.

i think Mcfadden, is not gonna be a top runnignback(like he is made out to be) but will be a descent one with long gains in a 2 running back system. i consider him a bust if he goes in top ten.

Gleen dorsey, sedrick ellis, Brian brohm, desean jackson, chris long will suck

I don't think any of the players listed will be "busts" in the true sense of the word. Like they suck. I think they will all be good football players,

With that said I voted for McFadden, Only because he is so over hyped. Some folks are acting like he is going to be some super human game breaker who is going to turn any franchise around.

I think he will be a good player, but not the best RB in this draft

Only if my disguise is good enough noone will recognize me. I could do it though, I am strong enough that i only need one hand to beat him with the bat, and the other for the camera.

just wondering are you italian? just asking because you resorted to a bat and they are usually pretty good with them

I gotta go with McFadden, reminds me too much of Bush. I really hope we don't draft him or fall for the hype.

I think the one thing that you can separate McFadden with Bush is the fact that McFadden actually did carry the load in college..

I don't necessarily think that Jake Long will be a flat-out bust, but I see a lot more Brick in him than I see Orlando Pace or Jon Ogden. He won't be worth the 1st overall pick, that's for damn sure.

The way he got worked by gholston has to be a bit disconcerting. I wouldn't doubt if Cherilous, or Otah turned in better careers.

I voted for DMC. He's not going to be able to run people over at this next level or they'll be carting him off in a bodybag. Ryan and Otah also got my vote. Ryan just does nothing for me. I would have loved to have seen him in the Senior Bowl but he elected not to play. I don't like Otahs footwork and I think the team that drafts him (Steelers?) will be forced to move him inside within 2 years.

my vote is Matt Ryan. He is going to be an average QB in the NFL. He is not worth a top 10 pick for what he will produce. If he really had the goods to be a top QB in this league teams would be trading up for him. And they wont.

Other than that, they all have the potential to be busts. Especially the player picked at #5.

Herm will never play him.

I think a lot depends on what team takes these players and how soon they start. Ryan doesn't have much chance of starting this season unless he goes to Atlanta and even then probably only at the end of the year.

i went with Ellis, i think this guy is going to be a system player, with the right system he could be alright, but he could also be a huge bust, a little undersized.

I really dont see how everyone believes that a guy who would have broken the SEC rushing record if he stayed another year is going to be a bust, but that players like Mendenhall and Stewart are going to be so good when they had one good year (DMC had 3) they play lesser talent from top to bottom all year, (hence why the national champion has come from the SEC for the last few years). Mendenhall had one really good year at Illinois played in the ridiculously slow Big 10 (as shown by how much faster LSU looked than OSU in the national title game). Stewart played in the lousy Pac-10 (best team USC by far, Cal is constantly overrated and no one plays defense) but yet McFadden played the likes of Florida, Tennessee, LSU, South Carolina, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, the list goes on and on and simply left all of them (sans 1) in his dust. He ran all over the national champions and one of the fastest Defenses ever assembled. And he ran it between the tackles, the guy is nothing like reggie bush who loved to dance behind the LOS until he could find a hole or run it to the left and then run it all the way back to the right until he found a hole. DMC sees the gap, whether its on the outside or between the tackles, makes one cut, hits the hole and then is in the secondary, he is a north south runner unlike bush. When you are approaching Hershel Walkers numbers in teh SEC and when you have passed Bo Jacksons number, i cant see you being a bust.

I couldn't agree more. I compare it to Dorsey going to the Ravens, or Dorsey going to the Cardinals. It's as thought he is put in a position to either have great success, or none at all. I probably should have started this thread next month, but i'm anxious, and in some instance i think your gut feeling might be good enough to make a message board guess.

Not to debate DMC anymore than has already been done. If i could speak for some people that think DMC will bust, i'd say it's about his running style. Mendenhall and stewart seem to be a get forward and get down type of player where as DMC seems to go down far too easy for a top 10 RB.

You put him behind KC's old offensive line, or on a team with a great Oline he could be just like Willie Parker. Ask any steeler fan and parker doesn't break tackles either. If DMC lands on the Raiders he'll be nothing, if he lands in NE, i'll stop watching football forever.

While I understand that the DMC debate has been raging on and on since before the last game of the year with KC. I still find it hard to imagine that people think he doesnt break tackles. First off you have to be touched to break tackles and its really hard to get to him bc of his speed, second his stiff arm is unreal so that adds to the argument that it is in fact hard to bring him down, and third in his first 7 games of the year, he had 667 yards after contact. That is not bad by any means. I just dont see where this, he goes down to easy comes from. When he got hit and went down last year, its because he got tackled, but he was still going forward and always pushed and lunged for the extra yard.

While I am not a draft DMC or Bust type of guy, i think that he is by far the best talent in the draft and heads and tails above every other RB in the draft. There are a few guys that i love in this draft and would be happy if the Jets got any of them. My short list is, Gholston, McFadden, Ryan, Rivers, McKlevin. Any of those 5 are worthy of the 6th pick. But DMC would give the jets the explosiveness that they have lacked and finally a face of the franchise that they havent had since Martin.
