gangreenman
Make no mistake about it, we will be seeing A LOT of power formations on offense this year. Looking at the moves we have made on offense this offseason, it seems as if we are going to be seeing many 2 TE sets with a FB, RB, and 1 WR. Baker is solid all around, not great at any one thing in particular but pretty much above avg at everything. Bubba is a run blocking specialist, and Keller is a receiving threat. Having Keller, Baker, and Coles on the field at the same time will create serious matchup problems for defenses, as if we send both Baker and Keller out for the pass, defenses will either have to use LB's to cover (reducing pass rush and opening up some running lanes, or use safeties, opening up some room over the middle for Coles/Cotchery. I expect us to use no more then 2 WR's on any given formation unless doing so is necessary. On these 2 WR formations, Coles and Cotchery will be in, as well as Baker and either Bubba Franks (TE) or Tony Richardson (FB). I also do not see this as a West Coast style of offense anymore. I see us now as more of a Run n' Gun type team. We wiil mainly try to overpower teams and eat up the clock and long drives, but we also have the ability to go downfield once in a while to mix things up. Also, we should be great in the redzone this season, an area in which we struggled to score TD's the past few years. This is a much, much, different team then we have seen for a long, long, time.
