Not that I buy into your nonsense but are you prepared to pony up with the kudos should by some wild twist of fate Martin has another great year and LJ does not?

The Jets offense sucked last year with Martin being one of the only bright spots.

If a Jet fan wants to post positively concerning Martin they shouldn't have to proof their post via a Pro Football Almanac to avoid your agenda ridden wrath.

What is your prediction for Martin this year?

I was making sure he gave Martin his Full credit at

4.6 which was his best ever!! Here's the thing with

you Blind Fans! You just hate facts unless they help

your postion! Why not discuss Football rationally by

taking off your Homer Hat for 1 post??

Question 1

Would the Team have been better served in the last

4 seasons by Jordan getting more carries especially

when Martin was Hurt?? Question 2 Attack my Idea why

by having less carries Martin would be fresher come

playoff Time and maybe be able to run better and God

forbid score a Playoff TD for the first Time since

Hermie has been HC!! And last but not least if the

Jets and Hackett weren't helping Cumar Pad his stats,

why in Dec of 03 with Martin having just 802 yds and

no TDs and the Jets out of the Playoffs was Martin

given 125 carries and Jordan 1??

As far as Jordan

goes he's no longer a Jet! If he does bad I'll feel

better knowing we lost nothing! If he does well I'll

feel we wasted a number 2 pick for nothing!! I think

TEAM not indiviual player like most of the Kool-aid

crowd that now want Law instead of playing our young

players and see them develop as Coleman did last year!

And how is it Wrath to want to see the TEAM

win a Super Bowl?? Explain yourself young Man..If

your capable!!

PS For the Teams sake I hope Martin has a GREAT

year!! But not at the expense of Blaylock or Houston

getting some playing time!! 32 was the age when Smith

and Payton started to crash so we will see! I think

Dinger will do what's Best for the TEAM not the

stats!! Oh and 1 other thing..If we had a Homerun

hitting Contest and I had 36 more at bats then you

and won by 1 homer would you proclaim me the HR Champ?

Not to mention the "Real HR Champ"

was not even in the Contest due to injury!!

Savage ....Martin's number of carries were a coaching decision. Do you really think Martin was involved in any conspiracy with the Jets FO and coaching staff to pad his stats. #-o

Martin didn't record a play-off TD because the Jets offense sucked as a UNIT.

Martin averaged 4 yds a carry in the play-off loss to Pitt when everyone in the world new what our predictable offense was calling.

Dillon averaged 3.0 in his Pitt game but gets the nod over CM because he broke a 25 yd touchdown run immediately following a reversal of a Pitt fumble recovery thus avoiding a less than pedestrian like game of 2yds a carry.

I don't consider Martin to be Jim Brown and he will never be Emerson Boozer or Matt Snell in your eyes but lighten up, he was a positive last year.

1 I agree Martins carries were Uncle Hacketts call!

2 Martin didn't score in the playoffs since Herms

been Coach because the Offense sucked?? Jordan has 2!

3 What you leave out while trashing Dillon is he

SCORED A TD!! Had Martin done that in Pitt we would

have played the Pats the next week!!

4 Martin avg 4 yds vs Pitt.. Jordan avg 6!!

And last but not least Martin could jump up in my

eye's if he ran like Snell or Boozer did!! But 42

yds in his 96 Super Bowl and 14 yds and a fumble

in the 98 Denver Game just don't make me forget

Snells 121 yds Rushing and a TD in the 69 bowl!!

Corey Dillon is the pick. I LOVE the potential that Willis McGahee has, but Dillon really re-polished his resume with last season's success, and McGahee needs another great year to prove to me he is the best of the division.

Martin, after this season, if he hasn't retired by then, will probably be the # 4 or 5 RB in the division, which is unfortunate. It will of course be blamed on Paul Hackett for giving him a career-high 426 carries last season.

Emmitt played till he was 35 and Marcus Allen

played till he was 37!! Cumar is signed through

09 I think!! Look forward to at least 3-4 more

years of everyone's favorite Martin!!

But 80, according to this poll thread, Martin is a runaway winner as the best back in the AFCE with 59% of the vote.

Certainly, Jet fans are never wrong.

Also, did you know he led the entire NFL in rushing last season?

As of now, I think there is little doubt that it is Corey Dillon. Even you homers that picked Martin know it. I won't argue that Martin has had the better career but as it stands now, Dillon is the better back. Now if Ricky returns to form, I would change my vote in a heartbeat.

Lets Break that down Alk!! Dillon started in 97 on

a 7-9 Team and had 1129 yds on 233 carries with 10

TD's!! Martin started in 95 with 14 TD's and 1487

yds!! Of course he had 368 carries 135 more then

Dillon on a 6-10 Team!! If you look at their Careers

side by side Dillon had 4 years where he had 300+

carry years! Martin has had only 2 years where he

has had a Sub 300+ carry year!! Also until 2004

Cory had never played on a winning Team! Martin

has only played on 2 losing one's..95 and 03!!

Had their Roles been reversed one can only wonder

how Martin would have done with those Bad Cincy

Teams and without Daddy Tuna,Uncle Paul Hackett and Cousin Hermie!!!
