That is so true. I will never forget how embarrased I was for myself & all JET fans when the Steelers came out to a huge ovation & a sea of terrible towels. I was in complete shock.

whatever dude, we kicked their ass and I stayed there until the end and my friends and I were the last people to leave the stadium as we stood there and let every steeler fan know where they really were and that they got served. I couldn't talk for 3 days afterwards and I actually puked from yelling so much at all of them! Its like I always say, "he who laughs last...tells everyone else to f### off"

the steeler game was one of my favorite games i've been to. I was more pumped up for that game than I've been in a few years. And enjoyed it all the way till the end.

And I dont care if any jets fan shows up for another game. I enjoy it and will enjoy it while the cost is feasible. I dont care what anyone thinks of jets fans. Its fun for me.

In the past preseason games were an option for the season ticket holder.Parking wasnt prepaid or mandatory I can remember when it was $5.00.There could have been many ways to deal with this instead of sticking it to us.Preseason tickets could have been offered to those on the waiting list, they could have also allowed season ticket holders who had tickets for more than 15 years the right to deny them. All in all I wont be wasting $650.00 on preseason tickets this year whether it be to the owner or the Meadowlands. In these economic times no one wants to waste money.

1)well know every team charges for preseason, you can't expect the jets to not follow suit

2)parking is still not mandatory, you can forgo the prepaid parking pass if you want. Doing so means you can not park in the lot, but the lot was never free to begin with.

3)Parking used to cost less, but so did everything else in life talking about old prices is not really fair.

4)your solutions of letting season holders deny them just would not work. Is there one single team that does this?

Dude, it sucks you got priced out, really it does. Hey, if I had a family, kids, mortgages and all the expenses that come with all that I would probably be in your boat. But just because you are priced out doesn't mean that the Jets are sticking it to you. Our country is based on the market economy, supply and demand. If you think about the enormous demand for jets tickets, the jets are actually not putting the screws to the fans nearly as much as they could. Jets tickets are highly inelastic, they can raise the prices quite a bit yet still see no drop in profit, it is just the way it is, simple economics, there are no real substitute for going to the jets game for a lot of people.

The NYJETS could have been creative with the season ticket plans. They could have put together packages giving the season ticket holder first right of refusal.Example 2 preseason games and the home opener etc.As a season ticket holder you could have opted out and then resumed your seats for the 2nd game of the season.

This organization is all about $$$ and can careless about the fans.$25.00 to park is a prime example of it.

wowowow, you would have liked it BETTER if the jets said, "hey season ticket holder of 15+years, this year, if you want to go to the home opener you must also buy the preseason tix, otherwise you will only get 7 home games to go to this year." Are you really really serious? That is actually the worst idea I have ever ever read here, like worse than Benching CMart for Lamont!! C'mon, if the Jets pulled that on you, you would be going postal on here, and by rights you should.

When the new Stadium opens do you think the Jets will institute a preferred parking program like a lot of other teams do?

They always had it, but not many people used it, the regular parking really is close enough, it isn't like a lot of other spread out stadiums. I would assume it would all stay the same.

look on the bright side, after dropping your tickets you can now afford to splurge

on the large size shrimp vs the usual medium size AND a jar of ****tail sauce

don't worry about the size of my tailgate party-the c. o. is well within E. Rutherford town code

ticket envy, tent envy, shellfish envy, penis envy...the list is endless with some of you gals

Yo Johny tailgate no envy at all. I can and will attend every home game not including the preseason that puts me $650 in the plus maybe I too can host a tailgate party like yours...then again I dont think so I dont need to buy friends at Jets games. But I could with the $650 if I wanted to.

penis envy...Ive seen that tailagate party thats where all the guys wear leather shorts and vests over there Jets jerseys and scream out the Y.M.C.A song..............no thanks.

What is your price tag.....................envy this. Go Jets!

Since surrendering my season tickets. My phone has been ringing off the wall with offers of tickets. It seems many who have multiple tickets in all sections are finding it very hard to sell them this year. Stubhub has an overabundance of tickets as do other agencies. The schedule really doesnt bring in any noteworthy opponents other than New England and Miami.Im beginning to not regret my decision to give them up.
