jetsrule128
ARLINGTON -- Rangers pitcher Jason Jennings is finished for the season after undergoing flexor tendon surgery in his right forearm on Friday. The surgery was performed by Dr. Keith Meister in Dallas and was similar to the operation Jennings underwent last August. "It's always disappointing when you lose a pitcher, but I'm happy for him that he got it taken care of," manager Ron Washington said. "We're going to miss him. We were looking forward to big things from him, but sometimes things don't always go your way." Jennings was signed as a free agent in the offseason and went 0-5 with an 8.56 ERA in six starts before being placed on the disabled list on May 2. The Rangers signed Jennings with the belief that he was healthy and fully recovered from his surgery. But the latest MRI showed a marked deterioration from what it showed in January.
