Kicker Mike Vanderjagt, abruptly cut by the Cowboys during the 2006 campaign after signing a big-money (for an idiot kicker) deal in the offseason, has been unable to find work in the NFL since then.

Kickers are not worth much, especially when they are just a distraction. TO is arguably worth it, but it's arguable. Vanderjagt was pretty much TO, in kicker form. They happen to be the best of friends, not surprisingly.

Former Colts kicker signs with Toronto of CFL

TORONTO -- Former NFL kicker Mike Vanderjagt has signed with the Toronto Argonauts.

Vanderjagt, who is an Ontario native, helped the Argonauts to consecutive Grey Cup titles in 1996 and '97. He was named the Grey Cup game's Most Outstanding Canadian in 1996. He was named an East Division and CFL All-Star in 1997, when he scored 190 points.

Vanderjagt, who made 86.4 percent of his field goals in the NFL, spent nine seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys. He made 37 for 37 field goals in 2003, won the AFC scoring title and was named to the Pro Bowl. He also won the 1999 NFL scoring title in just his second season.
