MagicBizkit87
Sigh.... Wouldn't it really be funny if Tampa really did win the division? lol
CrazyCarl40
Sigh.... Wouldn't it really be funny if Tampa really did win the division? lol Although it would be good for baseball, only about 10,000 people would see it in the park. It's sad. Sox can persevere, they have some options.
anskyruben
I don't think the sux can win without Pipi, just like NY couldn't win without Jeter/Arod.
MagicBizkit87
I don't think the sux can win without Pipi, just like NY couldn't win without Jeter/Arod. At this time in their respective careers, I think Boston losing Manny would be a bigger blow to Boston then Ortiz. It's for sure now that no team wants to run away with this division, Tampa is doing their best, but who knows how long this little run of theirs will last. haggis
Ortiz will be fine. Wouldn't be surprised if they just kept him out until the All-Star break, but we'll see. He will be missed, but the Sox can win without him.

He will be missed, but the Sox can win without him. It'd be nice to get some milage out of the Ellsbury-Crisp-Drew outfield. Especially since Crisp could be trade fodder later in the season. The Sox pitchers will have to step up, namely the younger guys with Dice-K on the shelf too. Injuries are ravaging a lot of ML rosters this year. CrazyCarl40
"Hi Barry, this is Theo...." No chance. Eff him. I'd boycott the rest of the season.
Garb
"Hi Barry, this is Theo...." No way! The FO has taken pain-staking measures to cultivate a culture of blind following by the RSN and to "purchase" every scribe in Boston. No way they throw that out the window. Uh-uh. haggis
No reason to make a move yet. Adam Dunn springs immediately to mind if they do, though.
