Meddle
http://www.ffmastermind.com/2005/offseason/reports/eye173.php What a difference a year makes! In 2004, the Jets were desperately trying to right the ship. They were coming off a season of injuries, miscalculations and lots of losses. Well, right the ship they did. So much so that the folks out at Hofstra are now saddled with expectations. This is better than having the fans and media calling for your head. Last year, Jets GM Terry Bradway was faced with an aging defense that leaked like a sieve and gave up more long runs than the New York City Marathon. He axed a ton of veteran players and conducted a major roster overhaul. Last year

faba
The opportunity is there fror Derek Straight to win the job opposite Barrett. Also the battle at safety position is going to be interesting to follow- McGraw as the incumbent but the young guys Rhodes, Maddox and Washington to battle it out-
Maxman
Awesome read. Good job. Funny thing is I am most excited about what this Aussie punter can do. Is he real? Does he make it? Can't wait to find out. Funny though because it is a punter for crying out loud.
Jetsfan80
They are now committed to Mike Nugent as their new kicker and Justin Miller as their primary punt and kick returner. Both were second round picks. PatsfanTx, reached for comment, said the following: So you're telling me you used two 2nd round picks on special teamers? Meddle
PatsfanTx, reached for comment, said the following: That sig is hysterical. Justin Miller could end up being an impact corner at some point. Just got to coach him up and attach his head correctly.
Barton
Great Piece Meddle. Ty Law can come in, be a impact player and kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Be an immediate contributor to a team on the verge of going to the SUPER BOWL as well as teaching the young corners how to play the Corner position with their brains. It would be like what Bobby Taylor and Troy Vincent did for Shelton Brown and Lito Sheppard. What they did for those 2 young corners is what Ty Law can do for Derrick Strait and Justin Miller. Not to mention Ty Law can be moved to safety in 2 years similar to what Rod Woodson did late in his career.

Meddle
Thanks for the kind words. If the hardcores like it, then I know it's half decent, because I know you guys would blast me if it sucked.
GimmeShelter
Great read Meddle. Nice summation of our RB situation. I would think almost everyone  will agree with your thoughts there. Nice job and Thanks.
