The Gun Of Bavaria Posted July 30, 2008 Share Posted July 30, 2008 Word around the campfire here in Detroit is that the Tigers are pursuing Yankees pitcher LaTroy Hawkins, who was recently designated for assignment. I talked to Max on the phone today and got his prespective on the guy. What do the rest of you Yankees fans think? Because pitching is looking MIGHTY weak right now and ever since they traded for Willis, apparently the Tigers think they have the power of Jesus Christ to resurrect pitching careers. Willis is currently pitching for the SINGLE A Lakeland Flying Tigers in Lakeland, FL. He may very well be setting a record for the highest paid A player in MLB history. At last report, the Tigers are forcing him to COMPLETELY restructure not only his windup, but basically every aspect of his pitching. Ahhhhh yes, the infamous $24 million project.
