Westhoff is a HUGE loss. This is a little premature, don't you think? They are trying different combinations and using different players trying to see who will stick. If I ran special teams, my goal would be to never have any punt returns. Always kick the ball out. My guess is that the NFL discourages this practice or else you'd see it more often. Think about it: why give the ball to a dangerous return man when you can kick it out of bounds deep in your opponent's territory? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
